These shelves were delivered promptly and were super easy to assemble - you only need a rubber mallet. they are a bit bulky to move once assembled but i did it by myself (115 pound female). i use these in my garage for storage of things such as extra cases of soda, beer milk; dog food; odds and ends; canned goods and dried foods etc. they are strong and stable even with heavy weight on top shelves and you can make the shelf height anything you want. i purchased two of these and one i use at full height, the other i split in half and use it as two separate shorter shelving units. i purchased them on sale for around 100 dollars and they are totally worth it. i would purchase again and recommend to a friend.
I bought a set of these for my man cave. It's great to have a set of shelves that can hold a ton of weight, and adjustable height. If you have items of the same height to store, like plastic milk jugs, you can set the shelf height so they just fit and don't waste any space. You can also lower a shelf a bit to accommodate 5-gallon buckets. Very versatile. Once loaded, they become very stable. I liked the first pair so much I ordered another pair for the house garage. My only complaint.... the parts in the cardboard package are not well protected, and rough handling by FedEx really beats up the boxes. I did not lose any parts, but I think someone added strips of packing tape along the journey. If I need any more, I know where I will get them.
We purchased several of these shelves for our garage storage. Our garage was full of boxes and although we did have cabinets in the garage they were not practical for boxes or any large items. These shelves are great for larger items and they can hold a good amount of weight. They are sturdy and clean looking. My husband was able to put them up in no time by himself. They are very heavy, so we had them shipped to our home and the shipping charges from Wal Mart were very reasonable. The best purchase ever for the garage.
Once assembled, it's sturdy and strong. It's a one-man job except for adding the top side pieces and the middle shelf. That definitely takes two people.
Solidly built -- but at least its HEAVY! Easy to assemble.
The shelving unit arrived in a package that had been pretty beat up - so much so that I probably should not have accepted it. Sure enough, when I got it home and opened the box I found that all five shelves had one corner that was damaged. Fortunately the metal framing was fine so I decided to put it together. Assembly was a little fussy, but once assembled the unit is quite sturdy and looks good. The shelves are very spacious and this thing holds a "ton" of stuff. I would recommend this to a friend but I'd caution them to check for defects.
