While I can't say that this is a cooling gel like those that contain menthol, it does soothe the face very well and the smell is absolutely delightful! I won't buy any other post-shave product now that I have used this!

Wouldn't consider this "cooling", but it's a great product! Best aftershave I've ever used. No irritation after shavings!
I have tried 15 plus aftershaves over the years , and none compare to Jack Black's Post Shave Cooling Gel ! It moisturizes, soothes calmly, no allergic reactions and helps prevent razor burns... love this product
Didn't care for the smell or the feeling it would leave after applying. Felt too slimy and wouldn't dry fast enough
Soothing? Yes. Cooling? No. There are better and cheaper cooling alternatives.
I did not think this offered the post-shave comfort as cheaper or more expensive brands. I sent it back months ago and have yet to receive notice that they are processing the return. I like Jack Black's soap - face wash, etc., but their shaving stuff is subpar.
