She runs great after clapping her out and taking off both brakes, great for hill climbs and towing people on trailers. Only got pulled over by 1 cop.
Today my Jetson Bike was delivered in perfect condition. I simply took it out of its shipping cage,took the battery out to recieve a full charge, wd-40 the chains, attached the mirrors and within an hour I was on the road. My first day it has fulfilled everything Jetson claimed it would do. It gets right up to 20-21 mph and rides comfortably. Love the turn signals and lights. Dashboard illuminates nicely. I will right another post in a week or so. I plan on using this Jetson Bike daily. I hope to have continued happiness with this product. I bought this over six years ago and for an older person it gives me freedom. I don't drive and have a bad back and knees so this bike lets me do things I couldn't have done other wise.
I read some bad review's, However my only problem was it would shut down, I called Jetson and they said it was the break release saftey. just snap the brake lever so they would go to the off position. A fantastic bike.. no noise, quick, everyone wants one. The lights, horn, turn signals . and you can peddle it. not easy..it is pretty heavy.. very well worth the money. I wish there were more stars to give.. by the way the call rep was quick and concerned. I wish more people would say when they like something.
The e bike comes very packaged. The bike comes bolted into a metal frame inside a box. One of the screws came stripped, so that was a bit of a challenge. The bike comes fully assembled, with exception to the two screw on mirrors. I ended up getting two left sided mirrors, so I had to contact Jetson, and they are sending me the right sided mirror. The bike comes with a users manual, which is interesting, because the book is solely written to show you how to put the bike together, step-by-step instructions. I'm not certain why Jetson includes this, because again the bike comes fully assembled. What the bike doesn't come with is the actual users manual. Jetson doesn't have one. I've been watching YouTube videos to learn how to operate the bike. I plan on riding it for the first time this weekend. I got my helmet. The bike is quite weighty, and looks exactly like a scooter. I work about six minutes from home, and after I feel comfortable with riding it, I plan on using it to get to work. Because it looks so much like a scooter, I'm just hoping I don't get pulled over on a regular basis.
I JUST LOVE IT! I had to install the mirrors myself. They look the same but they are NOT. You just have to turn the other mirror around. and I put some air in my tires, and I was GOOD TO GO! That little scooter has some power! I flew on it the first time I was on it! So for a first bike Im ecstatic. THEY MAKE A GREAT BIKE. I USE MINE EVERYDAY.
The battery isn't what it used to be but works great when fully charged. Changed 1 set of disk brakes. I had to change the fuse that protects the motor cause I put to much weight on it. Love it though. Perfect for the city. Not for off roads
I'm in LA, and I always have to ride the bus, which can take an hour or so to go 5 miles sometimes. This has made it easy for me to go wherever I want whenever. The only downside is 20 MPH is a little slower than I realized, but I'm still super happy with my product and am glad I made this purchase!
I live in the city about 5 miles from work. It's such a fun ride! I can't count the times strangers stop me to ask me about the bike. It's Small enough where I can store it in my apartment, big plus! Although my neighbors Think I'm a little crazy. The only complaint is that I'm a pretty big guy, so I don't get the full 40 miles per charge. I wish I lived in the country Where I could own five of these.
My e-bike is great, it does right at the advertised speed and is smooth to ride. It also holds a charge for a long time. The only couple of negatives I have are the pedals are functional but essentially useless. Due to the extremely short stroke the pedals are too difficult to use without the additional power of the motor. The only other issue I have is that there are not a lot of aftermarket or replacement parts available. I have the original lead acid batteries and it is extremely expensive to replace them with the new lithium batteries. Otherwise I enjoy riding this bike, and it is a great option to go back-and-forth to work on instead of driving to gasoline powered vehicle.
