Black label is a 12 year scotch smooth to the taste and exhilarating. Very distinctive with a smoky flavor. Great on the rocks or mixed with others items....
Scotch whisky has been my libation since I was introduced to it during pre-dinner cocktails at the British home of my first lady-of-affection, but it was my second wife who introduced me to Johnnie Walker Black Label when we met 38 years ago - yes, a strong whisky enjoyed by a strong woman! It is the exclusive blend that I have at home, and he only Scotch that I will have when I go out.
early in life i didn't care for jwb, even though it was the go to brand for most in my overseas circuit. to me, the taste was rough, not easy on the palate, too peaty. by my thirties i'd learned to tolerate it and by my forties, it was my go to. although i lean towards neat single malts for special occasions, jwb on ice remains my drink of choice four nights out of five. i'm glad i aged out of the mild, smooth, tasteless blends! ha
Have been a "Mr. Black" drinker for decades. Have "turned" many a friend over to being a Johnny Walker Black drinker over the years. In 2 of my very regular restaurants, I am asked when I am seated "are you ready for a Mr. Black" or "Mr. Black is on the way"!
Milk
I have been drinking Johnnie Walker for several years. I started with RED and then went to BLACK with an occasional BLUE. I now drink Black with a rear BLUE. I do not like the plastic bottles for RED, there fore I will not buy RED again if it's in plastic. Please do not start bottling Black in plastic.
Night cap anyone? This scotch whiskey blend has a great flavor. With hints of vanilla the sweetest of this 12 yr old scotch is subtle yet bold. If you want a smooth scotch, Johnny Walker Black Label is the way to go. It's my boyfriend's favorite and I'd consider myself a fan as well.
The best blend in this price range. It is nicely smoked compared to its competitors, and the smokiness pairs well with the sweetness.I am not a drinker by any means so all I can say it's not bad but I'vetasted better ones. It is modestly-priced making perfect for entertainment.
Appreciate access to in the club. Having said that it is a "smokier" flavor than I'm used to & probably won't purchase it again.
Why is this so expensive. It is mediocre at best. If this were a $20 bottle it would be over priced.
