I did not want the substitution of Johnsonville brats for the Great value brats that I ordered. Both the price and the ingredients are not what I want. unfortunately, the only notification I received was an email. By the time I saw it, it was too late to refuse the substitution. it seems to me that a better practice would be for Walmart to send a text message when a substitution is being contemplated. Text notification of a pending substitution is much more likely to be noticed in time to allow the customer to make a change, if desired. If both a text and an email were sent, it would be much more likely to be noticed by the customer in time to react.
in the description it says they are fresh. i had mine delivered frozen, not fresh!
These used to be our favorites. Now, the casing is tough, loaded with gristle, and the flavor is not the same. Why do this to a great product ? Never buy again.
Purchased this sausage on in October 2022, placed it in my freezer right away. Defrosted it in early January 2023. Opened to cook it and the sausages were spoiled will never buy again. Not the first time this happened with this brand. First time was bought from another store. So I'm pretty sure it is not Walmart's fault, but a problem with the manufacturing of the sausage, a big company like Johnsonville needs better food safety any quality control.
The sodium is so overwhelming even with the the fat running out onto grill it is way salty! Diminishes any good flavor. Throwing leftovers out. Never again!

I abhor the taste. I ordered Italian sausage, %26 this was my substitution. Yukkk!
i ordered the ine with 12 in it because i have so many in my family so instead of them when they substituted it giving me enough of the small packages to make the size of family pack of 12 i only got 5 brats not even gonna feed my kids let alone my whole family
I'm not sure whats happening with my local Walmarts meat quality but I always seem to get expired or soon to expire meat (same day) or meat without dates that turn the next day. It's an awful experience.
