The taste brings me back to the childhood in Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Port Washington and Mequon each time I enjoy the wonderful taste of the Summer Sausage by Johnsonville. I am far away now, but it is good to go back. I think that is all you can ask of a flavor.
This is the most delicious summer sausage I've ever tried. Our whole family absolutely loves this sausage. I highly recommend it for all types of occasions. We love it on salads, we slice it and use it with spicy mustard and crackers along side apple wedges. The sausage is lean and full of flavor. Cons: In our area this is extremely hard to find. When we do locate a supply we typically purchase an unusually large supply. Note: This can be frozen and saved for months. We try to keep extra supply on hand in our freezer so we never have to go without.
Was treated to Johnsonville Original Summer Sausage on a recent trip to Wisconsin. It is like the summer sausage that I remember enjoying when growing up in Packer country. It so much better than any other sausage that is available in Arizona! Other Johnsonville products are available in the southwest, but can only hope that the summer sausage will find its way out here as well. Go Packers!
I'm buying it for my son for Christmas
I have tryed to find "Johnsonville Original Summer Sausage" at the Fry's stores here in Tucosn, AZ. but none of them carry this product. Am I missing the product? We used to live in Wisconsin and no problem getting the sausage there. When family comes to visit we have them bring 10 or more rolls. Is there a Fry's that carry this?

I usually only buy beef summer sausage, but decided to try this one made with pork. Its actually really good. Even if you are just a beef sausage lover try this pork one as well. You will love it.

Best summer sausage. It has a great taste.
Don't pay extra for this summer sausage. The package claim of "No Fillers" is not true. There is so much crap in this sausage that one just cannot chew; it has to be spit out. This sausage is no better in quality, junk and flavor than cheaper brands, so don't waste your money. I need a refund from Johnsonville!!!
