Yes the springs are tight, but that keeps the gas from evaporating. It's easy to use. Every thing fits perfectly and I don't have to worry about dangerous fumes or spills in my garage or garden shed.
Excellent product and ensures safety for use and during storage.
I really enjoyed this gas can at first, but the spring loaded arm is so strong that it broke the lever on when filling gas. The gasket also started leaking after a few years. Do not waste your money!
