Love the Kalorik press

I originally purchased the smaller version of this and it was not wide enough for most applications. I invested in this larger 34" press and love love love it. From levi's to linens, it saves me time and is easy to use. I highly recommend!

Love My Presser

I really love working with this Kalorik Steam Press. It is true that you can burn your hands if you are not careful but I solved that problem by purchasing work gloves at the hardware store and cutting the fingers out of them. No burned knuckles any more. I also love the fact that I no longer have to send slacks to the cleaners. It presses them very professionally. Also, buying the larger press was a good move and being able to sit and press is better than standing at the ironing board.

Could Be Better

This steam presser works exactly as stated - however after many burns I realized that if the lid opened all the way (to a 90 degree angle), I could arrange my clothing on the board without so many burns! I also purchased the stand for this presser, and it works just fine, but for me (I'm 5'7") it is way too low. I took it off the stand and placed it on my folding table - now I don't burn myself because I can see where I'm placing my hands. My husband worked in a laundry as a kid, and has used this machine several times - he recommends that they place a thicker pad on the bottom to help more evenly press. We're going to find more padding and add it for ourselves.

A real time saver

I have been using my new press for a little over a month now. I have gotten a few burnt knuckle's trying to get used to it, but all in all it is a great time saver it has cut my ironing time in half if not more. This press works good so far the only compaint is that it seems like about 1 to 2 inches from each end of the press it does not press as well as in the center of the press, I don't know if this is because it is not as hot at each end or if it just doesn't put as much pressure on each end. I have been able to work around this. So for me it has met my expectations and is a true time saver. I also bought the stand for this press which works great with it.

best available, largest, great for fusing

This has a huge pressing area, for a home steam presser. I'm about to buy my second one. I unfortunately broke my first one by not locking it before moving, so ... my fault. Anyway, none of them open far, and this is typical. Deal with it. My first one was incredibly good at fusing two pieces of fabric or even one piece of leather and another piece of fabric with fusible web. Irons are terrible at doing this. I wish they'd make one that opened wider, but they are what they are. I bought a Family presser but will have to return it because 25% of the upper heating element didn't work. Kaloriks are pretty good. Alot of money, but I'll pay it for the really big pressing area and very hot presser.

awakward to use

The press does not open far enough to put items in without risking a burn. The small end of the hear is awkard to place items over. As a user of stem presses in the military I would never buy one like this again.

At a cost of $329 my expectations were that it would last longer than 2 weeks. The roller on the arm mechanism broke off the second time i used it. It was returned and i have purchased another giving the machine the benifit of doubt because it pressed my clothes so well. I have not received the second one yet but hope that it last much much longer.

Don't Waste Your Time!

I must say, I iron everything. This product does not satisfy my expectations. It did not cut down any time, as stated by previous reviewers. Yes, I must say I do have a problem, eveything must be perfect, no wrinkles, and this steam press is just not the same as the old fashioned way of ironing. This product is being returned and I hope it works better for someone else!
