We have hard water with a slight after taste. This seems to take care of that. My refrigerator has an idicator light that tells when to replace - unscrew the old one. Line up the arrows and screw in the new one. Quite frankly the hardest part is purging the gallon or so of water that the instructions call for. At home it lasts about 6 months and I do not notice any significant pressure loss while it ages.
I absolutely love these filters; the specs are fantastic, and taste-wise, they are the best I've ever used. They also seem to last a long time. We use them in our fridge, and for a family of 3 who drinks a lot of water, even after 6 months they are still going strong and producing great-tasting water. (I usually replace them after about 9 months.) They are also incredibly easy to swap in
These filters last much longer than the 6 months as recommended. I just replaced an almost-2-year-old filter. Ok, the water valve on my fridge no longer worked, and rather than spend a couple hundred $ to get it fixed, I bought a Pur water filter that's been working great, so demand for filtered water is reduced to just ice from the fridge. This filter is very easy to install, never leaks, always filters.
This filter works as it should. Water tastes super clean and the filter installed just like the old ones, quick and easy. No issues so far. Will update this review if anything changes as I'm basing this on the first day installation experience. will order more of these if it continues to perform well.
This product is what is required for my refrigerator. I need to change it every 6 months so I have i have subscribed to have it sent automatically to me every 6 months - that way I know it will get changed on time. The filter is exactly what I need and I am glad to be able to get it this way.
About 6 months ago I purchased a 2 pack of inexpensive refrigerator filters. My wife really complained about chlorine taste in the water. Finally I decided to buy this product and throw the cheap brand away. What a difference. No chlorine taste at all. It's a pleasure to drink water again from the refrigerator.
Great filter. I almost bought the aftermarket filter for my fridge because I was trying to save some money but I'm glad I didn't. This filter doesn't leave my water with a funky aftertaste. I don't see any black specs floating around in my cups either. So this definitely works as expected. I would buy this filter again.
This is a tried and true replacement filter for my water in my refrigerator. It really works to keep the crap out and to give me pure fresh tasting water. I replace it about every 6 months and this is a great value to have it just delivered when I need it!
My wife and I just bought a new house and the old filter was pretty old. This one is basically the OEM filter for our fridge. It fit easily, only took about 4-5 minutes of running the water to cycle through the filter, and now it tastes great. We'll order again in the future when this one needs to be replaced.
I purchased this filter because though the change filter light on our refrigerator did not say it needed changed,there was a massive change in flow. I bought this online for less money including the shipping and had it in two days. WOW! what a difference the new filter has made . Water comes out very quickly and ice is made in no time at all even though we are using more due to the temps.
