item came as advertised and cost less than half of what a two pack cost so better to buy two of these single ones. bigger bang for your buck.

Trashing the used filters is a terrible waste. Kenmore should develop a reuse of filters or find another way keeping used ones from going to trash.
I purchased this Kenmore water filter for my refrigerator. I was so excited because the price was a fraction of what sears sold it for. Upon arrival I received a generic version of it. I was so disappointed that I took it back to the Walmart store near my house but was told I would have to take it back to the third-party. They wanted me to pay to have the filters shipped back. I argued that it was not my fault and should not have to pay shipping. It has been over a week and I still have not received my refund. Bottom line: it is difficult returning items purchased through the third-party because they do not have a direct phone number and communication would be made through email.
I mistakenly bought this filter thinking it was 3 filters for $36 since most other companies were selling it for $13 per. They got me on this one, but never again will i buy anything from them. Totally overpriced.
