I was able to purchase a 1/2 ham at our local Walmart; I usually get the famous Honey Baked ham, but spotted this great looking ham when I was looking for something else. Thought I'd give it a try, and am so glad I did. This ham got rave reviews from my husband and our 2 Easter guests. It is SO lean and tender. I baked it as directed, after studding it with cloves and glazing it with a bottled chipolte pomegrand mixture. Rather than water, I used Coke as the liquid to put in the pan. This was truly THE BEST packaged ham I've ever cooked. The key things: lean and tender. From now on, this is the brand I'll be buying. Good bye Honey Baked.
This ham is delicious! I will absolutely be buying this ham from now on...not only on special occasions, but all the time!
I've been buying this ham now for years after trying all the other hams there is for sale and that's a lot of hams. This ham here is the BEST, it is already smoked and fully cooked and ready to eat as is or heated up but eating it as is the best, it don't need heating. Try it and you won't be disappointed, I buy 2 whole hams every month and slice it myself but you can also buy it sliced. There is no fat and no gristle nothing but good smoked ham.
Kentucky Legend Smoked Whole Ham is just plain delicious. A wonderful/tasteful appearance that strikes the eyes from afar. I picked this up for a Christmas dinner and couldnât be more pleased. Packed and sealed very tightly, you could see the juices bubbling inside. Fully cooked, yet we covered it and tossed it in the oven at 325 degrees for about an hour. It came out perfectly tender and moist. No complaints from me. The family loved it! I will purchase this ham again and again and again.
I have tried many different brands and types of ham, but this one is the very best. No bone, very little fat...pure meat that is always tender and juicy. The only issue I have is that it is way to pricey. As good as it is, most people can't afford a whole ham that cost $20 plus.
I am so very disappointed! I paid almost $30 for a ham that tastes like spam! I am mad!
Don't be fooled by the picture this ham too small for $30 .. i suggest you shop everywhere else for ham because its a waste of time
1/2 of the ham was gristle and had to be thrown away after I cooked it and ready to take to a dinner
Kentucky Legend ONLY brand I've bought for years. They've changed since 2020. Nothing like this!!! I just bought a whole ham on 3-4-24. I baked it today 3-6-24. I changed nothing about what I do. I slice half %26 chunk half. The chunks get brown sugar, honey %26 butter glaze baked for 20 more minutes. Got ready to eat %26 the chunks were SLIME. I rubbed some %26 it literally melted. It stuck to my fingers like sausage or roll dough. I'm rattling on because the sliced part is still fine. Reheating those chunks brought it out. It's scary. I wouldn't even let my cats eat it. Something BAD has been injected into this meat. I chunked some of the sliced part, %26 reheated for 20 minutes %26 it's slime too. I had ate a slice while waiting on supper. It's been hours. I'm still tasting the smokey part! My tongue is tingling %26 my stomach is so turned. I can't believe Kentucky Legend is OK with this garbage.
