The best waking-up coffee I have ever tasted! The coffee is incredible and the taste is very hard to come by. If you love a bold, tasty blend without bitter aftertaste, this is the coffee for you!! I cannot find it very often as the stores that usually keep it in stock do not ensure that it is available to people like me (coffee lover). In my town, I am only able to find the VUE packs Black Silk coffee in stores that do not stock the Keurig VUE brewers, and then, it has only been infrequent. Now, it is no longer to be found in any of the stores in my small city of Sierra Vista, AZ. I don't mind ordering my favorite blend on-line, but it has not been available on the Keurig website either. It was becoming a very cruel joke by Folgers to have created such a great-tasting blend, and then to have made it unavailable. Thank you for making it available at this time. I am going to order as many as are available at this time!
This coffee seems to have a slight dark chocolate flavor to it. Not too strong. And definitely not too bitter. It's got the right amount of sweet, bitter, darkness, chocolate flavor, etc. It's just perfect. By far the best Vue cup I've had so far. My brewing method: - 12 oz. in a travel mug - Strong coffee setting on brewer - Highest temperature setting on brewer - 2 teaspoons pure white sugar - 1 regular white liquid creamer
I am loving the flavor & look forward to starting each day with a delicious cup & the measurements are always exact.
This is by far the very best Vue pack I've tried. I like my coffee strong and bold and this is just as good as the regular grinds, maybe even better because I tend to make my coffee extremely strong, so I don't go overboard with the Vue. I do however, have to make it bold to get the strong, un-diluted flavor. Overall: If you like strong, bold coffee, this is the one for you. Suggestions: Don't brew more than a 12oz. bold cup as the flavor will be diluted if you go above. Wishes: This came in a travel mug size so I didn't have to use 2 or 3 vue packs for my morning coffee. This came in a larger quantity. Using 2 or 3 a day for my morning coffee uses up a pack of this in no time.
I have tried several different coffees but the Black Silk is my favorite, it is strong but not bitter, perfect way to start my day.
I purchase this coffee every month and will continue to do so.
This is a nice, rich cup of coffee. We drink a lot of dark roast coffee. Folgers Gourmet Black Label is a winner.
I have a 16oz cup which I use 14oz coffee and the rest sugar and milk. I was originally a little concerned that package was only .31oz compared to larger pods that lost a lot of flavor by 14oz. including the Barista .47 pod Italian roast which is the closest in flavor at 14oz. all the others lost pretty much everything after 12oz. so far the Barista Italian would be my second choice but given the considerably larger pod size, I'm really surprised with the loss of flavor. the green mountain flavored and Tully Hawaiian and espresso don't do much for me after 10oz.
Have used this blend in both my Keurig Vue as well as my Starbucks Barista drip carafe and found the taste and quality to be similar in both the Vue pods as well as their traditional drip grind. I drink coffee daily (2-4, 10-12 oz cups) and have found that this blend is good morning, noon and night.
OK, I know there are many raves for this coffee and that's why I tried it but it just doesn't taste that great to me. I love Starbucks French Roast so that may be why...those who don't like the burnt roasted flavor of Starbucks French Roast may very well like Flogers Black Silk...it's just not hardy and flavorful enough for me...it's kinda bland.
