I had previously bought a Keystone portable air conditioner for my living room 14k BTU Then I wanted a smaller unit for my bedroom. I bought another brand and said it was self-evaporative. Well it lied. It ruined my carpet and now I am having to replace carpet. So this time I searched for another Keystone and bought this unit. It does exactly what it says it will do. I am happy with both units. Just like most other units the plastic duct hose does not stay in very well so just like other people i just put some duct tape around it and no problems. You can buy white duct tape so it's not like it shows much. (And who really is looking behind the unit but you when you clean out the filters). I have stayed cool on these hot summer/fall days here in Texas.
It works great I really like it and since its so easy to move around I can even take it with me camping!!!! :) I'm very satisfied.
This unit served all the purpose that I needed it for. It was an excellent value for $360. The front bedroom collects all the heat of the house. I've tried covering window w/ tint, new levelor cellular shades, but this is the only solution that has worked. 12,000 BTUs seems to work so far. Hope it lasts.
We were to vacation at our daughter's home in August 2015. We were advised the humidity and heat were unbearable. We ordered this and had it shipped to their home. The unit, which was installed in our bedroom, performed beyond our expectations and we ended up having a very comfortable temperature for sleeping. After we left they continued to use it to help keep their upstairs cool andcomfortable.
the unit does a good job cooling - the biggest problem we are have is the vent tubing attaching he the unit does now have a secure locking system and the hose continue to fall off all the time an then blows sthe hot air into the room area - need a better way to secure this vent hose so we don't have to reconnect it three to four times a day - a manufacture defect and we would like to have someting done to resolve the problems we continue to have with it - what can you do to help us fix this problem!?????????????????????help help help please
