My three year old son loves trains sets but he has never owned one. Every time he sees one on television he goes crazy! He loves trains so I just had to get my son his first train set for Christmas in 2015.
My two years old daughter simply love it.
This track is great for parents who don't want to spend a ton of $$ for the Thomas brand name for kids who are a bit too young to build their own complicated tracks. You can still put the pieces together any way you choose, but kids younger than 3 or 4 will probably require parent help. I was a bit nervous that this is basically the Great Value brand of toys, but the trains and cars are really good quality and roll smoothly. We also have a few Thomas trains that roll on these tracks just fine. The only thing I don't like about the set is that the cars are too hard for kids to put together or take apart themselves. I suppose plastic connectors are cheaper than magnets though, so I don't mind much. Plus, you can always get Thomas trains or Ikea ones. The little plastic gates don't stay upright very easily and the signs just sit around and get lost, but otherwise I would love to buy more tracks to build with and I hope they make them.
This train set is very cute and fun for the money. Most train sets are so expensive. This one is made of good quality plastic in cute colors. Can't beat it for the money.
Its was a good price for a beginners train track!
I got this for my 18 month old son and he just loves it. It is simple, no bells or whistles, no batteries, no apps. Just a basic train set. It is cute and super easy to put together. I have never seen my son play with one thing for so long, and by himself! I am so glad I got it for him. He has a blast with it.
Really cute and fun toy for little kids, my son loves it, he is 16 months so he plays just with the train on the tracks, we are saving the smaller items for later.
The item I received looks similar almost the same but some of the pieces and colors are not there. Not sure if perhaps the item model changed I was pretty bummed when I didn't find the railroad crossing. Nonetheless my son did enjoy it. Very simple to assemble. A fun easy track the train and cars and ride the rails over all a good buy
Some assembly and sticker placement are required, but once it is together he had fun with it
Its a nice set for the very young ones. The only thing was the paper set that you build your track on doesn't last long..
