I really love this little kitchen and so does my two year old! Lots of storage space for all her play food. My husband and I put it together and it really wasn't that bad! I thought about painting it but the pink isn't that bad, it's more of a pale pink color.
This kitchen and refrigerator play set were easy to put together and my little granddaughter loves to play with it! All of the parts went together as advertised, and there was only one hole that wouldn't line up on a hinge and needed to be drilled out slightly. The price was right on this item as well, and I feel as though I got great value for my money.
This product is heavy duty and great quality. I put together the fridge and my husband did the oven/sink combo. I don't mind that there is an open area under the oven because I put the pots in there. You can also get cute baskets to slide in and out. My daughter loves opening and closing the doors. I heard it comes in red too, which would be super cute as well. I like having the fridge separate because it gives you more options on where to put the kitchen set.
I've been coveting the Pottery Barn Pink Retro Kitchen for about two years now and just could not bring myself to pay nearly $800.00 for a toy kitchen set for my two year old daughter. That price point alone made my fiance's heart palpitate and palms sweat. It was during this holiday season (2012) that I decided enough was enough and I was either going to get it or not. Oh, how I wanted that kitchen. I was searching on the internet for a similar kitchen set and there it was, right in front of me, at Walmart.com...the KidKraft Pink Retro Play Kitchen and Refrigerator. I got excited, my bank account smiled (and sang a little jingle) and without thinking I clicked purchase. No buyers remorse, no regrets and the kitchen looks absolutely STUNNING in our daughters bedroom. Our daughter LOVES this kitchen. She walks around with a pencil and pad asking us what we would like to eat and then proceeds to make us grilled chicken, green beans, etc. The craftsmanship on this kitchen is outstanding. The rounded corners of the wood, plastic handles and knobs, subtle detailing and soft pink color make this kitchen a stellar addition to any child's room. The kitchen has interactive features like an adjustable shelf in the oven, knobs that turn, doors that open and close (with a click) and a removable sink for real water action...not that that is happening anytime soon. I'm so happy with this purchase and believe it will be in the family for years to come.
We purchased this 2 piece kitchen set for my almost 2 year old Granddaughter. Grampa put it together in about 3 hours. It is perfect little kitchen.
I looked locally to buy this in time for my daughter's birthday. And online. I found the exact same product is several online store and some costing as much 3 times the Walmart price, Non were less and 2 were the same price (but when you add in the shopping cost they were way off). Anyway, I received the product and put it together without a hitch. All parts and very clear instructions were included. Just needed a screwdriver and about an hour. The kitchen set is very sturdy wood. Very nice materials. It has moving handles for the faucet and stove. I was surprised at how realistic it is. My daughter loves it and plays with it almost daily. I highly recommend it.
This is the best deal out there. A boutique company sells this exact kitchen for 2x as much! So cute. So sturdy. I am very happy and think I will be happy with it for years to come.
I bought this set for my 2 daughters and i love it so much. Its the right size, pleany of storing place for their food and the fact that the screwsare painted pink gives it a very special and nice touch.
I love the look and quality of this kitchen set. It really is beautiful. KidKraft has EXCELLENT customer service. My set was missing the back of the stove knob plastic pieces and they mailed them out to me instantly. The only negative thing is the paint smell. I was very shocked at how strong the odor was. I read many reviews before I bought it and no one mentioned the smell. It smelled VERY STRONG, like paint fumes. My daughter has asthma, so I was very concerned about putting it in her room. I aired it out in our screen room for about a week and the smell is better. I can still smell it, but much less intense. I did email KidsKraft about it and they said it is non toxic paint. So the paint is safe, just smells strong. I would have given the kitchen a 5 star rating, but the smell makes me nervous.
The kitchen and the fridge are very pretty and steady. The reason why I am giving one star is because they are way too small like for a two year old child. I got it for my 7 year old because it looks on the picture that it's big enough but it isn't 🥺😡
