I did my research, same brand and a lot cheaper than all the other places. Also, read all the advice from the other reviews. We will be using this product often.
Excellent corer. cleans out the peppers and makes it a breeze to use. The rack works good too. Would recommend it to anyone who loves to make poppers.
I bought two of the stuffed jalapeño racks for use in my smokers and BBQ. The product is stainless steel and is built to last. I have also used this item in the oven when the weather was bad, but stuffed jalapeños were demanded for a party (place on cookie sheet). The corer is nice, but coring 36-72 jalapeños can mean tears and spicy fingers. Splitting the cleaning, coring, and stuffing between a few people makes the process go by quicker. Experiment with stuffing the jalapeños with different cheeses, bacon, shrimp, crab, pineapple, egg w/ham, etc... There are plenty of recipes online for those new to making stuffed jalapeños.
This jalapeno rack works great. I have had it one week and have used it three times. Be carefully not to get peppers that are too big as they tend to fall over. Holes are 1 inch diameter, so buy peppers acoordingly. I used it in the oven and on a grill. Very solid rack. Clean up is easy.
Very high-quality stainless steel, not the thin, cheap version and it even comes with a pepper corer to make the job easier!
I've used several racks for stuffed jalapenos but this one has been my favorite. Someone will always find something wrong w everything (the holes are too close whatever the gripe may be) but you can cook a bunch at once & it's easy to cook on.
I got this as a gift for a friend and they absolutely loved it! They had been using a shrimp kabob holder for their peppers which, needless to say didn't work since they had to put the peppers down lengthwise instead of standing up. They loved the corer that came with this as they were using a toothpick! This is a great invention!!
I would like an assortment of racks . I wish it was 1/2 inch taller so the peppers didn't tip over so easily . One idea would be to lower the number of holes but make some of them slightly larger for fat peppers so they sit lower. Another take out a row on each end and turn them into handles to make it easier to carry the hot food. I love large overstuffed peppers. All in all a great idea , just wish for different configerations.
Less holes but slightly bigger holes would be better. The peppers that fit worked great, unfortunately only 2 in 10 did
Holes are to small to hold Jalapenos that I found in the stores around here.Had to use tooth picks to get the peppers to stand up.It wasn't easy getting the toothpicks thru the little portion of the pepper that was showing under the rack.Tried the rack with some chicken drumsticks and it worked great.The included corer worked great at removing seeds from the peppers
