Just what I was looking for

Love this coffee pot. It brews very quickly and stays nice and hot. The removable water tank is extremely convenient. Only complaints are that the digital display screen seems faded in spots (cannot consistently read it easily) and that the carafe has a very slow pour, probably to hold in heat. I love this product and would recommend it!

Very Nice Coffee Pot

This pot, like most Kitchenaid products has surpassed my expectations completely. It makes great coffee, it's easy to clean and easy to use. I thought that the carafe might not keep the coffee hot for very long, but I was wrong. I usually make 8 cups in the morning and 2 hours later, the coffee is still hot. I get to save electricity and take the carafe out by the pool to enjoy.

Everything We Were Looking For

After many years and coffee makers, this is the best. 12 cups a must. Fast. Convenient - well designed. The removable water reservoir is the best. The carafe keeps the coffee hot all morning, good for the family with one early riser and one late riser.

This is my second Thermal Carage Coffee Maker.

My first carafe lid and water container were much easier to work with. Both are the same item number. The design was changed on the second one. The lid on the second on holds dark residue inside and its hard to clean. The water container makes you feel like it's going to break every time you pull it out to fill. We truly have enjoyed the carafe - good hot coffee.

Just OK

I really like the look and style of the coffee maker and it brews a great cup of coffee. My only complaint is the set up for the delay timer. In the instruction phamplet it states to repeat the same brewing choices for the next day you should hold the brew button for a few seconds to set it up. After holding it for over a minute and not getting the results of a next day setup I called customer service. They didn't have an answer for me except to go through the entire cycle to set the delay again. This is extremely annoying. I was going to return it but decided to keep it because as I stated above it makes an excellent cup of coffee. I would not reccomend this to anyone who uses the delay timer every day.

Good Coffee Maker

No complaints so far! I bought this coffee maker a month and a half ago, primarily because it has a stainless steel carafe. I love the fact that with a little preheating with hot water, I can have coffee that stays hot for many hours and never has a burnt taste. (Even on the days that I'm too lazy to preheat the carafe, I can make coffee at 6am and still have pleasant drinking temperature coffee at 11- if I have coffee left!) Added bonuses with this coffee maker are the removable water container, and the use of a basket coffee filter! I like how easy it is to clean all the parts to this coffee maker.

Works great, but display has problems.

Mechanically, I am very pleased with the performance of the coffee maker. The insulated carafe keeps coffee at drinking temperature for 5+ hours. However, the lighted display is very poor. It is dim, and some numeric digits do not display at all. The display leaves you wondering whether the time is correct or whether you set the brew time correctly.

Hot Coffee

This is my 5th kitchen aid coffee maker. I purchased this one thinking it would be a good one after reading the reviews. However, after about 6 months, it started running all over the counter, on the floor, very frustrating! I contacted Kitchen Aid, and they were very good about it. They sent a replacement one, and so far, its working good. It does make hot coffee, and it makes it quick. I do like the features on it. However, again, on this coffee maker, the clock don't show up. Which don't matter to me, I have lots of clocks in my kitchen.

Overflow problem

I bought this coffeemaker last week, while the coffee is delicious it does tend to overflow. It doesn't seem to matter if I make 12 cups or 8 cups, when it gets down to the last 2 cups of water it overflows. I have tried different grinds of coffee, the gold basket, the paper filter all giving the same results. The only way I have been able to stop the overflow is to stop the brew cycle when it gets down to the last 3-4 cups of water, let it finish filling the pot and then to turn it back on to brew the remaining water reserve. This can be a pain.

Disappointed

This is supposed to be a 12 cup thermal brewer but if we try to brew 12 cups it overflows - makes a huge mess to clean up. Every evening to set the auto brew you have to press the button through all the time setting steps. When I tried to turn the auto brew on like the manual says it starts to brew the coffee. Not very user friendly. Will contact Kitchen Aid to see about getting a replacement coffee maker, if that one also over flows then I will get a refund and find a different brand of coffee maker.
