[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The whistle sound like an old time steam locomotive and is easily heard in my home. W works very well with my induction range. The Whistle blows under 3 1/2 minutes for a full kettle of water. NOTE: Induction stove top
I bought this for my husband a couple of years ago, because it is all metal with very little that can melt on it. It is also very beautiful in the blue. It has lasted longer than any other teakettle to this date. However, I have watched the inside of it develop a rust deposit. I have tried to clean it out, to no avail. What I don't understand is, Where does this rust come from??? We use only distilled water, because this area water is full of minerals. This kettle is porcelain coated inside and out. Could it be that the inside was poorly coated with the porcelain. Vinegar will not remove it, it is rough and brown, now. It used to be shiny blue. I have used a no-scratch pad to try to clean it, but it just takes some off and I cannot get to it easily enough.
Anyone know why there is a prop65 warning on this kettle? What chemical does it contain that would prompt such a warning?
The kettle with a lifetime warranty just rusted after 2 years of use. Maybe it's already rusted and before I don't know how much we drank rusty water from it. I won't buy anything else here
