Love this grinder! It is very easy to use. The grinding container is removable, so you can pour from it and also clean it easily. The cover fits over it, and you just press it down to grind (unlike a different brand I had previously that had a poorly designed locking lid that didn't work right). I've ground coffee and sea salt in it so far, and it works great!
The Blade Coffee Grinder is exactly how shows on picture! I just bough few days ago but it works very good and easy to cleaning. There is measure that helping you with your coffee beans. I am glad with my purchase I love KitchenAid. They do products practical , functional and beautify our kitchen.
I was sleptical at first but amazed at how quiet and well this coffee worked! It is smaller than my last grinder that quit on me but this one just does what it is supposed to do. You do have to hold done the lid to make it work which at first I wasn't i mpessed with but it's efficiency makes up for that!
Good brand at a reasonable price
Bought it to grind coffee beans for the ultimate fresh pot of coffee. Fill the container about half way with beans for a Bunn, and push down to activate for 15 to 20 seconds. Works like a charm! You have to take a teaspoon to get all the grounds on the bottom as it packs it in. Works for nuts too, but have to shorten time. Trial and error work best. Great machine.
Instead of grinding coffee I bought this grinder to grind ginger and it did a great job without being bogged down. Looking forward to grinding coffee and other spices in it too. I like the large capacity cup too.
Coffee grinder works to well and fast. By the time all the beans are ground (in seconds) most of the coffee is very fine. If you don't want fine coffe, please use only a small amount in grinder and don,t grind very long. Suggest you start win only a half cup beans to be ground until you like texture.
This coffee grinder sucks. Coffee grinds fly out and when you lift the lid they spill out. Makes a mess and not worth the price
I bought this at Walmart to replace a Hamilton Beach grinder. I thought the removeable cup would be great. That was the one thing I wished my previous one had. I have used it several times hoping for a better result but this grinder is awful. I use it for grinding spices. Have not tried it with coffee. I tried dried herbs, pepper, and powdering egg shells. The pepper does not grind evenly and the the egg shells do not grind to a fine powder and also grinds unevenly. It does OK with herbs. The biggest complaint is how messy it is. I have to open it over something because everything that I grind ends up blowing over the cup and between the cup and lid and under the cup. I also have to pick out the unground pieces and put them back in to grind again. When grinding pepper, some of the corns do not grind at all and others grind to a powder. Very uneven. On the positive side it is easy to clean.
This grinder doesn't detach easily and makes a mess when trying to remove the inner grinder cup.!
