It has 70 different settings to accommodate all brewing styles from french press to espresso and everything in between. This grinder has automatic smart dosing technology so I didn't need to guess how much I needed and automatically adjusts grind time to deliver the proper volume and consistency. Made with commercial grade stainless steel. I would highly recommend the KitchenAid Burr Coffee Grinder for anyone looking for a superior coffee grinder. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This innovative Burr coffee grinder from KitchenAid is that super cool, high tech small appliance for the coffee enthusiast who thinks they have everything and doesn't need anything else. In my own kitchen for instance, I have a semi automatic espresso machine, a fully automatic drip coffee maker, multiple kettles and coffee supplies along with all kinds of whole and ground beans. I also have a French press that I don't often use since it's not the easiest, but I'm fully aware of its distinct rich brew style. Even so, I still have often thought that I don't need anything else. Well, this nifty little cafe tech gadget automatically measures the perfect dose and grinds for several different coffee styles, including french press, and a few others that my drip coffee maker and espresso machine just do not cover. KitchenAid makes this task the simplest possible for an extremely busy household such as my own. You simply select the style of coffee you would like to brew, adjust for number of cups, add the beans whole to the top hopper and press a button. We could do this ahead of time with the included ground coffee carafe that fits into the base, or if you do preferred to use a small espresso accessory, there's a pop out hideaway attachment to grind directly into something other than the included carafe. This is super cool and I think I will bring it to live at our short term rental lake house next time we make it out to the lake, since I know it will add to the stun factor of our guest favorite coffee bar and only further justify our steep nightly luxury rates.

It grinds the perfect amount, with a ton of custom settings, so I can grind coffee and brew immediately. It is so much quieter than my last burr grinder, that I can grind the beans even while other family is still asleep. Easy to load the coffee beans in the large top container and super easy to remove the grounds from the lower static free container. The grounds are evenly and consistently ground.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this bur grinder is a great machine for the entry-level baristas or anyone who likes to have a great tasting cup of coffee, with the the adjustable grind size up to 70 , from French coffee to espressos shots, the storage container helps keep the beens fresh, I also want to mention that the bur grinder is noticeably quite compare it to the other grinders, the only thing that I wished the grinder to have is more than 2 cups setting but other than that the bur grinder is worth trying.

I really like that the canister has a sealing lid and I can keep grounds fresh for a few days. I'm super impressed with how quite this grinder is while in operation. The only think that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is that I don't notice much of a difference in the grind when I select the coarsest setting and the finest setting. For my drip maker, it doesn't really appear to matter which grind setting I use, so it's not an issue.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the fist burr grinder I've owned. The device appears to be of high construction quality, (weight, fitment and function). I have experimented with different grind types and durations, and it seems that out of the box, the default settings for a 12 cup drop coffee produce too many grounds for our particular coffee pot. The device is easily programmable to compensate, and have been able to product some really great tasting coffee. Highly recommended!
I got this for my decaf coffee. But it's still too coarse even though adjusted to the maximum fine. When I use this grinder, my coffee is out in 15 secs from my espresso machine. Also, I use a double spout portafilter and it scratches the tray at the bottom all the time.
