Fast shipping and great packaging. I received this within two days of ordering. I like that the interior is all stainless steel and that the heating element is concealed. This makes for easy cleaning. It heats up quickly too. I use this daily. This is a great addition to my kitchen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a great electric kettle. I got tired of using the microwave to heat water for tea. This kettle heats water fast and it is good looking too. I would like to see more colors like blue or grey like the stand mixers have.
I’ve recently been drinking a lot of tea and using a stove top kettle to heat water. I purchased this as a faster safer method for boiling water. I love the red color, the speed to bring water to a boil and the auto turn off. A great addition to my kitchen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In general, I like the kettle, but it has 2 possible manufacturing defects. 1. The lid doesn't appear to seat properly in the down position and the steam billows out. 2. The kettle reaches boiling and stays boiling for several seconds, too long. There is also a design mistake. The fill scale is below the spout and thus difficult to read easily from either side. It can't be viewed from the lid hinge direction since it is hidden by the lid itself.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the kettle! One thing it takes a few minutes to switch off when boiled, feels too long a time. How long is it supposed to take?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 4-6 weeks ago. I love the look and the speed with which it heats the water. However, the instructions require that you keep it filled which somewhere between 2-4 cups of water, not less and not more. I find this odd, I have to keep refilling it after each cup of tea or else I am scared it will drop below minimum. The ABSOLUTE WORSE feature is where the water level indicators are...they are under the spout, therefore, with the lid open, you have to look over the lid and down into the the water resevoir to TRY to see the indicators for water level. It is awkward and difficult to see.
While the exterior may appear attractive, the lack of durability is a significant letdown. I expected a product of this caliber to withstand the test of time, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. The rusting issue not only affects the boiler's appearance but also raises concerns about its long-term functionality.
Used my Electric STAINLESS Kettle just 1.5 year and top of the Kettle already rusted. I did not expect this kind of issue from KitchenAid
Bought this Kettle in April 2020 and it already broke. Disappointed as it's rather expensive for a Kettle and I'd expect it to last longer than 2 years...
