When I went to buy again, they weren't on sale, so I bought another brand that was. I won't make that mistake again. After two weeks of using the other brand, I was back at the store to buy my favorite again. I like the shape of the beaters, the quietness and power of the mixer. I love it.

I initially thought perhaps I should have gotten the 7-speed. My results changed my mind. The silkiest meringue! It is a good machine and I am completely happy!

This new one is a lot more powerful than my old one.it made my baking time faster and easier I was able to bake my chocolate cake and banana cake/bread faster. I'm happy with this mixer because I know it will last a long time just like my old mixer which is still technically working except for the metal attachment that broke.
This is closest to what I bought, nearly 27 years ago! I used it maybe once or twice a week, for a family of six, all this time. It finally gave out. I didn't know if it would ever die. It did absolutely everything I needed it to do.. cakes, cookies, whipped creams, hotcakes,… Just a few weeks ago, I was making cookies, it stopped working. 27 years!! It's a wonderful quality mixer. It had a good home, and I/we loved it. Buy quality!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hand mixer because I have always liked KitchenAid products - does not seem as nice as my old (55 yr GE hand mixer which finally died) light weight - plasticky - with thin hard to mix blades even the extra set - time will tell as I get used to this product - not as cheap in cost as some - but I thought it would be MORE! Disappointed by the extra warranty coverage I purchased on my KitchenAid oven less than 2yrs ago damaged during install by KitchenAid - door replaced in a day or two - but - then when using self cleaning feature 2nd time - the glass gasket was not sealed properly I called right away - and per KitchenAid warranty Dept - door glass seal my problem & not covered! What? Brand new - used a handful of times - self cleaned 2x. So I elected to not buy an ext Warranty! I would hope KitchenAid takes a better look at all their products & service! Glad I did not get the stand mixer - if small hand mixer “flimsy” & expensive new oven cheaply made - glass failure with seal (cleaning drips inside the glass) I don't think I will recommend or look at KitchenAid in the future for home or apts or work!

I've been a cook for over 50 yrs. Ive had many electric hand mixers over the years. My only semi negative issue with this hand mixer is the fact that while resting on its end (to enable the adding of more/other ingredients), I find that the mixer leans back too far which also prevents the beaters leaning fwd to drip back into the bowl. My old hand mixer was great, different brand, and I loved it but the beater bars rusted out. And I couldn't get replacement parts. I hope this Kitchen one has stronger ones. I recommend getting a 7 or 9 speed if you use it frequently for baking. I gave it 2 stars because it works, but it's slow and it's my fault for not doing a better job of researching hand mixers
