I bought this for my wife for Christmas, and she absolutely loves it !! She does a lot of baking around the holidays it will come in very handy for next years festivities.. I'm going to buy some of the accessories to try my hand at sausage an polish kielbasas, can't wait !!! I got her a red one because I love her so...:)
I was online Christmas shopping and ran across the Kitchenaid 5qt mixer. Thinking that I can only use it to mix things I wasn't going to buy it, but it matches my kitchen so I did!! Well when I started using it and finding out more way to use it other than just a mixer, I fell in love with it!' I use it for everything, I make ice cream, I chop thing , and I'm going to learn how to make pasta!! It is really the best appliance I have on my counter that gets used many days out of the week!!
My husband got me this mixer as a replacement for an old hand-me down sunbeam I had. I was very impressed with how heavy the mixer was and well built it is. The old mixer I had was so plastic where as this one is all metal and you can just feel by the weight of it that it will stand the test of time. I enjoy the stir setting because some of my recipes don't require using a mixer and just need to be stirred. This is great for that because I can set it to do its thing while I start the next step or clean up a bit. So far I've used it to make crab dip, blueberry muffins, and brownies and they all came out perfect. I can't wait until Christmas to use it. Previously I had to make the same cookie in small batches over and over again, usually 5 or more times, because I make roughly 20 dozen. With the Kitchenaid mixer I should be able to only need to make two batches which will make holiday baking much easier.
My MIL bought me this for Christmas! I literally hugged it when I opened it. I have used it 3 times and LOVE it. It makes baking so much easier now. Now I don't dread when my kids as if I could bake something that could be difficult with a hand mixer. Now I am up for any challenge and my son has given me one for is 8th birthday coming up in April. I will be making a rainbow cake. Lots of different colored layers. Can't wait!
I have always wanted of these fine mixers and got one for my birthday recently. I have to say I am loving this mixer! I just made the best homemade pasta for dinner last night using the mixer and the pasta attachment! I can't wait to make my first homemade sausage and then who knows what's next!

I bake all my kids birthday cakes and omg I wish I could of had this machine before. I have always wanted it but because of money problems this year was my year to get it I have waited 6 years to buy it. This machine is so easy to used and clean . My husband bought this for me a couple of weeks ago and the spiralizer too. I have made bread and peeled and sliced apples for pies. Very, very impressed with the great job it did and how user friendly it was. I can't wait to buy more attachments when they are in the budget.
I own an Ultra Power 4.5 and the upgrade to the Professional 5 plus was a surprising difference. The bowl and mixing area is much larger and the mixer seems to mix with a quiet ease. I really like the difference of the lift stand verse the tilt head option. The new white coating on the beater and dough hooks was a pleasant welcome because my beater from the 4.5 wasn't coated and though it's clean it looks tarnished. The clean up is easier with the coating. I really enjoy my Kitchenaid appliances and hope to soon add more to my collection.
Sleek, fab & a must for cooks! My son thought I'd like a new one since mine is basically an antique but naw-she still works great so I made him use it for his new home & he loves it! My kids are room mates so my daughter is going to make pasta with it and my son said he actually enjoyed making a cake the other day! Kids move out-buy them one-no excuse for not making great food like momma showed them how!!! Thx KA:)
My boyfriend bought this online and shipped to me for my birthday. First thing, The seller seem that they ran out of tape to properly secure package. Everything was shaking in the box once I picked up the package. Secondly, when I open the box the attachments looked used, there was butter on the equipment also. This is unacceptable knowing it says “item new” on there site. I will post the pictures.
