My daughter wanted this for Christmas but the price was to high until I came across it on Wal-mart.com. The cost was the best I have ever seen for a set this big. We used the Sight to Store feature so there were no shipping charges. She loves this set and has played with it almost daily since receiving it for Christmas
The grandkids have enjoyed hours with this toy. They have used their imagination to build numerous projects. We have had knex in our family for years. This new set is an addition.
I would highly recommend this for boys of ages 8 or older who have a very urge to build and see how things work. I have not given it yet for a xmas present but his mom said its perfect and have heard from others that these are very highly recommended.
This was the first K'Nex we bought and it's a natural transition for kids who love legos, but are outgrowing them. I was expecting a better instruction manual, but our 7 year old son will figure it out eventually. I'm not sure if I'd be as happy if we had paid full price.
This K'nex set is what my 12 year old daughter played with most of Dec. 26. It is an awesome set, she even enjoyed helping my 5 year old niece put together some of the easier structures. The new flexible pieces have really opened new possibilities in the constuction of structures. Motorized K'nex sets usually costs at least twice as much as this set. I will buy more of these for birthday gifts for my nieces and nephews.
My 8 yr. old son has been wanting K'nex for some time and we got him these for Christmas. He absolutely loves them! There are so many things he can make with the set and he especially loves the motor. Our 17 yr. old son has enjoyed making things with the 8 yr. old, also. Great toy-great value!
I bought it for my grandson for Christmas and he loved it. We couldn't get him to stop playing with it. It isn't a good one for smaller children as there are a lot of small pieces but for older ones, it's great for the young builders in your family. Thanks
This toy was probably the biggest hit this Christmas. It is tons of fun, encourages creativity, and keeps kids occupied for hours. My nine-year-old boy especially loves it. Last night he slept with the Queen Mary he had created. The set comes with a nice thick book of instructions for different projects which are very clear and easy to follow - with more projects available online! I gave away three other boxes for Christmas this year and everyone who received one has loved it. The box itself is, of course, much bigger than needed. So I had considered buying a second set, putting them all in the first box, and using the second box to store different toys, since it's a nice sturdy container.
I have seen many other smaller products for a much higher price! Knex is high quality and very reliable for long-lasting play. I recommend kids 7+. My almost 9yr old nephew is loving his christmas gift...and that's saying alot because he has lots of building sets already.
I purchased this online because my son likes to build. Loves Legos. So I figured he'd like this product. It was affordable, so I ordered it. He enjoys it. He put together the helicopter pretty effortlessly. I think it's worth it and it keeps him busy with toys other than electronic ones. Some pieces are hard to pop into place without destroying the model, but use care and take your time.
