I love the photos this camera takes and it is really easy to use; however, for a first-time user, the instruction guide could be expanded; however, user manual is online, and the directions are fairly basic.
We got this camera for our young son after returning a similar one from a different known brand because it felt too flimsy and it wasn't straight-forward to use. We were happy to see the better quality in this camera, in the body and the pictures taken. Our son felt right away at easy navigating the menu and the settings, it's easy to get them even without reading the instructions because they are intuitive. We are happy with this purchase, thank you Kodak and Walmart!
I chose this as a birthday gift for 9 year old granddaughter. She loved it. I bought it online, but my son says it does all the right things. He needed to get an SD card for it b/c Walmart was unable to send one with the shipment. The price was much lower than other brands, and it is blue!
I had a different Kodak camera for years, when that finally died, I wanted something similar so I wouldn't have to learn how to use another camera. This works very similarly to mu old one. I am satisfied with the picture quality, but then I am not a fussy photographer and most of my shots are outdoors . This seems fine for someone like me, who uses a camera occasionally for simple shots.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this camera and the simplicity of how it operates. No searching for video when doing pictures. Both are right on top. I love it. The hinge on the battery and memory card door is very well made unlike other cameras I had that broke at the hinge and render the camera useless.
I REALLY like this camera! This is the 4th one I have purchased over the last 6 or so years. Because it is small and easy to use, I carry it with me all the time and take lots of pictures. (It is my pictoral version of a diary.) With such heavy use, including being dropped, they last about 18 months before something finally goes wrong. But the pictures are great, the cost is low, it is easy to get the pictures into my PC, and the operation is straight forward. Also the battery life is excellent compared to the other cameras I have purchased over the years. I have never used this for video work, so my comments are only related to photography.
This is my second purchase of this camera. I need electronics that are easy to use as I get flustered. The camera is point and click. There are a few custom settings such as close up, red-eye removal, and a couple of others. Transfering the pictures to the computer is easy. I needed easy and this would work for anyone not savvy to fast learning of electronics.
I haven't taken a tremendous amount of pictures yet, but what I have taken are great. I'm going on a trip soon and will give it a through workout then.
Great compact camera to take close up pictures. You will need to set the camera, test out the features and make sure they are locked. Different features will leave the pics very grainy and when you zoom out it's not the best. The real test will be when I visit a Disney Park, test if I can take over 200 pics and how ling the battery takes to recharge.
"In a nut shell" camera does not come with a user manual or s/d card (Kodak has dropped the ball by making this unit way to complicated) it only comes with a quick start guide with minimal instructions! Camera has a multitude of features of which most have no instructions of how to use, to get a manual you have to go on line, & then will find out the manual is 72 pages of hard to understand "Small print" descriptions of multiple steps to use most features, not a camera for the average Once in a while user unless basically all you were to do is just take pictures, Very disappointed in Kodak, Camera went right back to Wal-Mart for refund.
