For my 12 year old son to tune his band instrument. He like the screen instead of just the lights.
This is an exellent tuner because it will tune any note, instead of some that are set to just a few notes. So if you're using non standard tunings you will have no problem. If you are using electric guitar or bass you can plug right in. It also has a mic but if you use that make sure there is NO other noise going on. If you are using a wind instrument it will sound an A for you at 440 but u can change this if you like. Again, great little tuner and I would recommend it to others.
I know that I saved many dollars over purchasing this item at a music store. This tuner is easy to use and since I am using it for an auto harp, I could not use my guitar tuner.
I received a 12-string guitar for Christmas. I purchased this tuner, however, when I tried to tune my guitar to standard, the high E and low E were perfectly tuned but A, D, G, and B were not tuned. Since the low E was tuned, I was able to tune the rest of the guitar using the notes in the 5th fret. The next time I will purchase an electric-acoustic with a built-in tuner.
