The phone is good for a rookie and the price was amazing. I found it online on the Black Friday shopping, and I am so happy I didn't have to wait in the store in the long lines for this. I think it's a good functional phone for the price. It does have an optional for the SD card but it is behind the battery, which all the 25 Virgin Mobile phones we've gone through, the SD compartment has never been behind the battery. Also the phone does not have a front facing camera, but who cares. Kids want and get too many options. This is a great functional phone with tons of options for apps, etc. Thank you Walmart!!
Got this for my teenage granddaughter and she loves it. It came as stated and when it was supposed to arrive. Great price, too. It is used for texting and internet more than anything else and has had no trouble doing either so far. She can get online quickly with no problems. I do recommend this product for a teenager that is just needing it to text friends and wanting to jump online but doesn't have all the bells or whistles other phones have.
The E Mail popped up so I figured why not after reading other reviews. Look, this isn't an IPhone and it doesn't cost 500 bucks. It cost me 40 bucks and after a week I have had ZERO problems. These people complaining about this phone are being too hard on it or they got a bad apple. You can't expect it to do everything a top of the line phone does. I say go for it. I like the 35 dollar plan, unlimited web, text, and 300 air time. You can always phone over the web. The service is great in Houston with no dropped calls.
These were on sale during Black Friday, for just a Twenty Spot. I have no plan on using virgin, and still don't, but buying the phone to use as a (basically) ipod Touch was awesome. Google play store works well. They seem to give away a lot of tracks too, so that's great. Storage space is a little cramped, it states it comes with 4GB, but the actual usable space is only like 2GB (0.98 Internal, and 1.22GB on "Phone"/"SD Card" (part of the internal NAND)) but it has an sd card slot so if you need the space you can add it. The dimensions of the phone are very very similar to the Iphone 3GS which allows this phone to fit in my child's fisher price Apptivity case, and the play store has fisher price apps for free similar to the apple store. So I no longer have to put my main phone in the case for my child to use, I can use my media player. The device seems to work well with my chromecast dongle I just got today too. Some things I don't like: No custom roms because of some kyosera/virgin mobile mess about the boot loader. When in the apptivity case because there are no front mounted buttons you can't wake it up if it sleeps. The MicroUSB and Headphone jacks are BOTH located on the top edge, and the microusb does not appear to do anything but allow a usb connection and charge connection (NO DOCKING, like my ancient HTC G1, or the 30 pin apple connectors). Not only that but the Screen does NOT like to rotate to an upside down position, so any kind of elegant docking station is probably never going to happen. This was my personal top pick for black Friday deals. If they are ever $20 again I may pick up a few more.
this phone is perfect for my 10 year old. It is used mostly like an ipod for music and apps and some texting. it doesn't have a great signal for virgin even in areas where there should be full signal but it is good enough for our needs. I would suggest that you don't overload it with too many apps to keep it running well.
OK, low memory, but for the price... a full android phone! It is great, my second one... warning they are not very strong when run over by a full size pickup truck!
This phone is way better than my little Samsung Galaxy Prevail phone i had from boost mobile a few months ago. I mean this phone has 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwhich OS, It has speed It's everything i wanted besides a Physical keyboard but that can be arranged with blue tooth, other than that a very exceptional phone.
Got two of these for Christmas present 19.99 black friday wi-fi phones kids like them havent purchased minutes yet my kids use textnow app for texting friends works great phone is a pretty good size not to big just buy sd card
Though this phone is mostly functional I have to remove the battery and "reset" the phone multiple times daily and have had to do this since day one. I have also had memory issues because pictures that I tell the phone to delete somehow recover themselves. As far as signal strength/call quality I guess it is rather average. The quality of the screen could be better. Same goes for pictures but I do like that the camera has flash.
Only had this phone a few hour b4 all the problems started. It drops calls even though i have tull bars. It freezes. Notification dont come in 90% of the time. Battery life is only like 2 hours and it dies while im sleeping. I will never recommend this phone to anyone. My whole family hates this phone. Not walmarts fault at all though.
