great phone just bought it and love it---------- my only problem is the sim card does not sit on a tray and instead is simply " stuck" in the sim slot----the only way to pull it out was with tweezers at least thats what came with my phone a tray less sim card--- colors are very vibrant on this screen makes for a very pretty phone the lightness of the phone surprised me video wise its perfect since the screen resolution is fit for 720p content great gift for those that dont have phones yet :)
Best virgin cellphone from virgin I have everhad.great price and plenty of room on phone you can also move apps to sd card if u want a solid phone this is it
This phone is very fast, allows you to maneuver between apps very easily. The picture/video quality is great. I have not experienced any lag when playing videos on youtube. I have had 2 other Kyocera's in the past (Rise & Event) & personally I like Kyocera. Although I enjoyed both those phones & they did what I needed them to do, the Hyrdo Vibe is a little more high tech obviously. I honestly cannot find any flaws with this phone. The speaker volume is good, but if you lay it down on its back, the sound is greatly lowered & becomes muffled, as this is the only speaker it has. This does not bother me bc I just lay it with the back side up. So far I have downloaded 3 big apps, Facebook being one, added about 100 songs from my laptop, & it has not slowed it down a bit. It is very light weight & fits well in your hand. I'm loving the 4.5 in. display. Overall, I would highly recommend this phone. I am normally cheap when it comes to electronics, but also like having great quality for my money, & I will not complain one bit about spending $100 for this phone. I also love that it is waterproof. Just adds to the great quality of the phone for the price.
A great phone for $50! Now I can play all of my games without the phone freezing or crashing! Bonus feature: It can be used for phone calls!
This was a X-mas gift for my brother-in-law. His last phone bit the dust with a dead mic so he reverted to his orginial phone (talk/text) and he had been missing some of the Data/apps that he used in the past. So we got this for him and he is really pleased. Fast shipping/delivery from Wal-mart to home.
Had the Rise...could not take it. Slow performance switching apps, bad call making and just way too many hiccups for what I wanted to do. So I upped the ante and grabbed the next tier with the Hydro. Been great so far. Had one problem at the beginning and had to reboot the whole phone with tech supports help. But aside from that, it's been relatively pan free! ;)
I love this phone. There are just a couple of things that I don't like about it, which is why I only rated it a 4. The first problem is the screen. It's to touchy. The second is problem is the emails. It keeps showing that I have unread emails when I don't. At first it showed I had 2 unread emails, now it shows 15.
More than double the capacity of the 3G it replaces. I have not found one single thing to complain about in two weeks of ownership. Easy to use, tons of memory, fast, light...perhaps a little awkward to handle due to size, but exceptional so far.
Even with 8 megapixels the picture quality is not good. Pictures were grainy and the colors were way off. I played with the settings in all different lights and still couldn't get a great pic. The vibrating is also loud. I ended up returning the phone.
This is a great little no contract phone for not a lot of money. I have been with virgin for many years and have never really had any complaints. The provider doesn't have the strongest signal in my area, but my boyfriend, who's on AT&T, only gets a few bars here too. For someone like me, who texts more that talks it works well. I read the review for the hydro vibe over on cnet before I bought this, and while it has the few little issues that they mentioned (call quality, camera focus problems) I can't really complain. My old phone, an lg model they don't even make anymore, was about to bit the dust and this suits my needs well. The fact that this phone is shock and water resistant was the deciding factor for me. All in all I would recommend this phone to any one who's like me and is too cheap to pay for a contract phone.
