Hubby and I were on the fence - we had a huge tree come down during Hurricane Sandy, so now we have a ton of firewood. We have a firepit and wood burning stove, but amazingly, we barely use either. Now, we have all this wood, we would like to start using it! So, we were on the fence, should we get a 4 foot log rack and not have a place to store all this wood we have, or do we get an 8 foot rack and then what do we do when we run low on wood. And then, I saw this on WalMart's website. Aside from the price on Walmart's site being less than others, this rack was perfect for the job. Easy to put together - you just need to buy 2 2x4s and voila - either cut them to what you need, or leave them in the sections purchased, and you have an adjustable log rack! We just put it together, filled it up, and so far so good!
I like it alot and works well. Wish the end rails were alittle longer and it came with hardware (wood screws).
Great product. Just bought 6 8ft pressure treated 2x4's and put it together in about 30 min. Pieces could have been a little taller. They are only 4ft tall. But still a good product.
We extended this to be about 8 feet wide. We butted it up against our shed and was able to fill it with a massive amount of wood.
For your dollar, this by far is the best deal going, some slight assembly required, tighten four bolts that come with it, cut two 2x4 to desired length I stained these as well as this is for indoor use in my case), then you will need 4 small screws to attach the frame to the wood.. If you can change a light bulb, you can assemble this. I was impressed how the 2x4s fit so snuggly into the frame which allowed for a very rigid structure when completed. If you want a well built firewood holder, this is a great deal..

This is great for the price. You can make it what ever size you want. YOU have to add the 2x4 not included. My husband cut the 8 Ft 2x4 in half and it worked perfect for the wood we have. Seems to be sturdy at that lengh.
I used this outside my front stoop with 5' 2x4's. I painted the 2x4's black so it all looks real sharp. I love the idea that I could have made this as wide as I wanted. I would prefer slightly heavier gauge tubing. Yes, these are hollow steel tubes. Its package is 24"x14"x3". So each side is joined together with a provided pair of black nuts and bolts. I either lost the lag bolts for the 2x4s or it didn't come with them. Anyway I used 8 lag bolts that I already had. SInce 2x4s could vary in thickness, you should level and plumb the rails to the 2x4s before screwing them in. I think if I gently place in the logs that touch the rack, instead of throwing them, it should hold up fine. I picked it up at my local Walmart 2 days after I ordered it with no issues
Great value for the money. Easy to put together and looks really nice in our yard!
Works fine, would rather it be one piece. Found a American made one at westlake for eight bucks more. Its welded But function is the same if you like to buy local.
