Bought one of these to take camping because it comes with a carry bag that holds everything so it will be easy to haul around. There really is no assembly required so its really easy to setup and use. Even includes a poker! Reminds me of a card table, it pops up when you need it and folds down out of the way when you don't. Recommended!
Just used my Landmann Fire on the Go pit this weekend. I am VERY pleased with the functionality of this fire pit. Arrived well packaged and complete. Assembly is a breeze; swing legs down/snap clamp into place, place on ground, set bowl on legs stand, build fire. The legs and clamps feel very sturdy and FIRMLY clamp into place. Legs are permanently attached. The fire bowl is very large, yet shallow. However, I put three layers of oak logs on it and the pit handled it with no problems. I love the carry case! It is very roomy and in fact has a strap assembly inside to lock the pieces in place. So many times a carry case barely is large enough to contain the item. I did not use the spark screen but I have this tip: I already had a 20 inch round replacement grill (from WalMart) that I used on below ground camp site pits for cooking. It sets in the bowl perfect for cooking. (since the bowl just sits on the stand I was able to shift the bowl to level the grill when cooking on unlevel ground.) You could get an even larger grill as the bowl is 30" in diameter. This grill even fits in the carry case. As the bowl is shallow, I will use charcoal in addition to fire coals when cooking as the wood coals did lose heat rather quickly. I see the price has increased since I bought one week ago. I paid 95 tax and etc site to store and am very pleased with this unit.
My family and I were very pleased with this fire pit. It performed well, cleans up easy and the included fire poker and storage bag are great! The way it nests makes it easy to store in our Trailer for future camping trips. It is the perfect height too for keeping the warmth of the fire down low where you want it. Amazon sells the same item for the same price as Walmart; however, Walmart was easier and more convenient. Walmart's Site-To-Store feature is FANTASTIC.
