Before getting this log caddy, I was making 5-10 trips outside to transfer my firewood into my inside fireside rack. Now I can do it with one trip. No carrying the logs -- just load the caddy, wheel it into the house and unload it. It works great., it was priced right, and Walmart delivered promptly. This is a great purchase and I highly rate the Landmann Caddy.
well thought out easy to assemble works
I really like this caddy. It holds just enough wood for a night for the fire pit. I love that it has wheels and we roll it up to the pit.. The cover allows us to store the wood outside without it getting soaked if it rains.. easy to put together too
Easy to put together and easy to use. I can move wood from outside in to our wood stove with ease. This caddy crosses a metal threshold easily. I added a plastic storage tub to the upper section and this catches all of the mess that comes off the wood.
I love this log rack even bought a second one in case it broke, it hasn't broken...I'm still using this one... I've even over loaded it (all the time) and it is still holding up. I have other brands and different styles and paid more money for the others and they broke in one seasons use. Going on my second season with this one...
Very good quality. Easily assembled. don't like the use of cotter pins on axle ends to keep wheels on the axle. Wheels wobble slightly but is still very functional. Would buy again.
I just put the cart together today. I haven't been able to haul any wood with it yet. But the cart went together VERY easily. I'm a bit worried that the carter pins are a bit too light weight for the application of keeping the wheels in place and weathering the great outdoors ... but time will tell.
Instructions did not list all tools needed for assembly. Since they were not listed it took longer to assemble. The most serious issue was the pressurized tires. The tires were not pre-inflated and not attached to the rims. Therefore, it required the assembler to either take the tires & rims to a gas station which provides an air pressure pump or they needed to have a small air pressure pump in their garage. Not all gas (service) stations have air pressure pumps and many of those who do charge a fee. Anyone expecting to assemble the Caddy and use immediately will be disappointed. Assembly tools may also require a trip to the local tool supplier in their area if they don't have metric sizes.
This was hard to assemble because a hole would not match up and my husband had to use a drill bit in a drill press to fix it. Also a nut stripped and had to be replaced. It looks good and is easy to maneuver.
Great price, easy assembly. Issues are narrow wheel base. Probably okay for suburbia where everything is flat. I bought 2 for our off grid cabin. If you hit a dip or small rock, whole load twists, watch your wrists, and goes over. And just today, while pulling a load to the cabin I heard a shrill, sharp noise. Not unlike an air horn. Flat tire. Now not so happy.
