I bought this set in size medium for my two cats. The medium feeder can fill up 10 lbs of dry food, and it also keeps the dry food fresh as well. The waterer can fill up 2.75 gallons of water. It is a great product, especially if you have to travel or go on vacation for several days, that you know your pets will always have food and water while you are away. When you are not traveling, make sure to change the water in the bottle at least once a week, I change the water twice a week to avoid possible mold in the water bottle.
I purchased this product online, all though they do carry a similar version of this product still made by Le Bristo in the store at half the price (a blue set), it does not have the microban material. That is key reason why I purchased this set, the microban material keeps bacteria and slime from growing and prevents staining... this set will last way longer than the cheaper version. I have a medium size dog, I only have to fill the water once a week and the food container holds about 15 pounds of dog food. I am so happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone who owns a pet!
I purchased the medium size. I don't know why I didn't purchase this long ago. The feeder is virtually maintainence free. I find that I need to clean the water dish about every two days or so. It didn' take long to figure out not to fill the waterer completely full. I only fill it about one third full or less. This makes taking the bottle out a lot easier. If I was going to be away for several days I would fill it up. Only each individual would know how much water their pets require.. I have two 17 pound Boston Terriers.
