I was originally looking for the "Fridge Phonics". I purchased this product in hopes that the pieces were magnetic. Although they weren't, I am very pleased with my purchase. My 2 1/2 year old son absolutly loves it and is able to use it on his own.
I purchased this as a gift for my grandson and Mom really liked it as well and says my grandson sits in his new Scooby Chair and plays as long as she lets him.
I bought this for my 2 yr.old grandson who was showing a lot of interest in learning letters. This seems to be durable toy and I LOVE that this toy reinforces letter recognition as well as sound. This is exactly the skill necessary for learning to read. Obviously we are a long way off from that, but for now I enjoy being able to give him a toy that will challenge and teach him.
This toy is absolutely awesome. My son loves it and he already knew his ABCs but this has helped him with polishing up pronunciation! It's worth every penny spend.
I have a day care. Children of all ages. And they all love this. My two year old recognize alot of these letters but I can't give this game all the credit. My parents and myself work with them but this helps. I recommend this game. I love it and so do the children. We have this and seeing how well they like it I had to purchase for a gift too
This product was purchased for my 2 1/2 yr old grand daughter as part of Christmas gift. She has enjoyed playing and likes having the bucket part to store the letters in. My only complaint is with pronuncation on phonetic sounds. Her name ends in Y but the recorded sound does not give a long "e" sound for this letter.
I bought this for my 2.5 year nephew and he has been having a great time with it. He loves that it talks to him so he has been counting and learning the ABC's. It's a great value for the fun and how much he is learning by using it. Glad I decided to get this for him, it was a wonderful choice.
When I typed "magnetic toys" or "fridge magnets" into walmart search bar this toy would always pop up. So I assumed it was magnetic. When I received it I was very disappointed. What's more, Leapfrog discontinued magnetic version of this toy. This is downgrade! Kinda loses all the fun. I had to return it.
This toy is a lot smaller than pictured online. Pretty basic toy-
This was the first item that came up as most relevant when I searched for refrigerator magnets. I had a smaller, older version of this that did have magnets, though most of the letters have been lost and the letters no longer play. I purchased it without noticing that nowhere does it say that the unit is magnetic. I just went off of the search result and assumed it was the new version of what I had. Nothing about this product is magnetic. It does work, though the brain is very small, and it does not have a great variety of items to play in a play list for each letter. In fact, it says only one thing for each letter. The sound quality is not great, like a bad cell phone connection. My kids were not excited about the product.
