My daughter loves this game and we've actually purchased it twice for two different units. She enjoys the play kitchen activities the most and has, on her own, taken to the letter drawing activities. My only criticism from a parent's perspective is that the tracing sound for drawing the letters literally sounds like scratching a diamond tipped tool into a chalkboard...very screechy! She doesn't seem to mind it though; I've heard that sound a solid 30 minutes and the adults are the only ones who cringe.
My 3 1/2 year old LOVES this game. She got 3 games for the holidays and this is her favorite. She is challenged by it, but it's not so hard that she gets frustrated (which comes easy and quick for her). GREAT game!
We absolutly love this game, Maybe some others didn't give it a chance but being able to dress her up plus all the different back grounds like snow, or halloween are so cute. The hunt for things like the seashells and sun fuzzies are great too. My daughter got this when she was 2 1/2 and was able to do it, now she is almost 4 and still loves it. I just love her positive attitude. She likes being able to navigate with the stilus, it is much easier for the young ones.
brought this game after reading the reviews and my child loves to play she can help out all her favorite characters finding new objects and help out in the kitchen with counting and measuring also a little memory and i thought it would be boring its fun and she enjoys it!
My daughter loves playing this game. She only asked me one question so far, so I'm assuming it is very user friendly.
I am not a fan of this game but my daughter seems to like it. There is no clear delineation as to which games have been completed successfully. You basically navigate from one person's house to another playing mini games along the way. You can replay over and over again (though I do like the fact that the game gets harder as you succeed). I would still buy this game though. As of now, there aren't many to choose from so this one is decent compared the some of the others.
Comparing to the other games this one is not engaging enough. Either it is hard to understand the aim of the game or it is simply not fun to play. My 4 years old daughter always prefer to play other games to Kai-lan, in fact, Kai-lan just sits in her games library and is rarely played at all. I think she would not miss this game if I took it away. Or perhaps, she need some time to grow up into this one? For now i am certain this game was not the best pick for us.
This product has some entertaining features, but we were really disappointed when the game prompts you to pay to use additional features. For the amount that was paid for the game it should have all features enabled. It is kind of hard to explain that to a 3year old.
We purchased this for my 5 yr old and the instructions were very weak. We cannot figure how to work it so that it is educational or engaging at best. I would not recommend this game as it is kinda boring. She received the Explorer with this game, so for a novice to Explorer, it is confusing.
Don't waste your money like we did. The game has basically one level and can be completed in 15-20 minutes. However, my 4 year old was bored in only 5 minutes. We have 3 other games that he loves, but this game was a poor effort.
