We have had this product for 3 years. We love it!! My son still plays with it several times a week. it is perfect how it all fits in the shed for easy travel. We take it to restaraunts, grandmas, hotels etc. I would highly recommend it!
My son and daughter have this playset and it's literally hours of fun. They have additional tracks and sets to go with it, and my children have never got bored playing with them. Very sturdy and well made to prevent breakage. Worth every penny I paid for it. Great value for the price!
My son got this recently from a friend for his second birthday, and he absolutely loves it. We are using some of his birthday money to purchase some add-ons. He takes it everywhere, to grandma's, in the car, to the doctor's office. I love that it has storage for the pieces so nothing gets lost or broken. Great toy!
This is my 3 year old sons favorite toy. He was never really interested in other toys such as the lilttle people play sets, but the minute I brought this home, he ran straight to it and has played with it everyday for a few weeks now. He even puts the trains to bed in the station house and says goodnight to each of them (we purchased additional trains, I love that the trains have the names on the bottom). What I love is that it is beginner train set, it's inexpensive and the tracks are easy enough for him to assemble himself. He likes changing the track design to play in different settings. (We purchased the additional track pack and the drawbridge which are also great so we could extend the track around our coffee table). The only downside is that it needs to be on a hard surface, but it is perfect for a table or the floor. This toy has started his "Thomas Take Along" collection. We love this so much that we already purchased the Take Along Rescue Station to keep at his grandparents house. It's a great value and there are so many Take Along engines and playsets to add onto this, I couldn't resist. I'm already planning our next purchase.
My son and daughter LOVE this. We were not going to buy any more for the set, but they love it so much I am already planning my next purchase. It is nice that 4 engines fit inside the train station and the tracks fit in the roof. Makes for easy clean up!
The Thomas Takealong series is the way to go. The wooden railway is the one with the recalls and my son can take this anywhere. At home we put it on a piece of plywood with some tickytack and the track doesn't fall apart. It tends to break apart on uneven surfaces such as carpet. Would recomment this to anyone. We had a birthday party and told everyone to buy him this otherwise it gets pretty pricey buying it yourself!! Wonderful for Thomas fans!!
my son loves thomas and we got him this and he plays with it evry day now he is collecting all the trains that go with it. it packs up small to take along with us in the car orto gramms house and it also helps set a limit of trainsthat he can take it holds 5 trains so he can take 5 with us it also has a track storage so it is a very good toy for any thomas fan on the go
I bought this for my 2 year old daughter for christmas, and she loves to open and close the doors and put the trains in. The bottom part does stick a little when we try to pull it out, but hasn't been a problem so far. A great toy for the cost and works very well for little hands.
My son really likes the Thomas stuff, but I was very disappointed with this product. All of the train track does not fit in the top as advertised. Plus, the train track does not stay connected, which is frustrating for me and my son. Overall, he is still happy with the toy (he is 3) but I won't be buying any more of the plastic Thomas train tracks. He also has the GeoTrax stuff, which is much better as far as quality goes.
For a portable item, I would expect ALL pieces that are sold with the set to fit together in the container. They do not. I am disappointed in the design and wish that it was bigger or big enough for a child to use. We returned the item and are currently looking for a suitable replacement.
