The battery lasts for around 6 hours. The back-lit keyboard has 3 modes; no light, dim light and bright light which is very helpful. The laptop performance is great.

The i7 processor is key to business-like use (which I need my personal laptop to do). Returned a comparable Dell after no liking it and wanting this one. That was a great decision in retrospect.

It's definitely not a gaming device but it is more than enough for everyday work and entertainment. It works great with my 4k monitor. Don't be afraid to choose FHD display because it gives you more battery life when you are traveling and at home or office it is most likely you are connected to an external monitor! In summary I have a great feeling that I chose X1 Carbon from Lenovo!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is very good. First of all, it is so light in weight. I can take this laptop wherever I want, because it is only 2.5 lb weight, and it doesn't acquire a lot of energy to carry it. Besides, the battery is strong. It will take me 10 hours to use up the battery. When I take this to college, I don't have to take the charger with me, and I can go to classroom early in the morning and come back home very late without a charger.

The aesthetics are simple (the way I like it) but the entire machine feels like top quality material and it is so light. I'm still adapting to the keyboard and I find it a little different from my previous Dell laptop however it should be fine after a while. One thing I miss is the backlit keyboard. Overall its a fantastic machine and I'm glad I got it.
