Smells really good love the way my body feels after using it
I've never ever used Level 2000 before so i said I was going to give it a try since i have used other soaps and see how i like it but i gave it a good rating anyway
This a pretty good, cheap bar soap. The smell is pretty decenr, and it does not leave your skin feeling dry after. A solid budget choice, would definitely buy again
Went online to message to Lever 2000 about this issue; after seeing other reviews I find this is common, and apparently this is the new Lever 2000. I've used many other soaps; commercial, custom made, homemade, etc and have never seen this issue. Too bad, I have always preferred Lever 2000 but now to unsightly to leave out at sink.
This soap is great, IF you get what you ordered. Rather than this, I got what is pictured below. Didn't realize it till I went to open a new one @ 5am
I bought this... "Lever 2000 Refreshing Bars Original Perfectly Fresh by Lever for Unisex - 8 x 4 oz Soap $0.19/OZ" but received 8 x 3.75 oz. This is not legal in CT. I'm unsure if the law covers online purchases as was mine but there are signs (required by the law) in all stores in CT stating that if a commodity item rings up more than the marked price, the item will be free. Even if the CT state statute doesn't cover online purchases, it's still wrong. BTW, I've been buying the 4 oz for some time. Something changed recently. The attached photo is from a Walmart email. I'd been using Lever 2000 for about 20 years. It was a great, basic soap that kept my skin clean without drying it out. The scent was mild without being overpowering. I'm not looking for drama or innovation in my soap; I'm just looking to stay reliably clean. I used to buy it 24 bars at a time so I could stock up on it and not worry about running out. I was disappointed when I bought the latest shipment from my local big box retailer. Instead of being wrapped in a wax paper package, each bar came in its own box. The bars were smaller which, I get... shrinkflation. But the worst was when I started to use the soap. First and foremost, it stank. I want to feel clean after showering, not like I've been dipped in perfume. The consistency was like slime. The soap coated the floor of my tub and made it a slippery (and dangerous) mess. After showering I had to clean my tub to get rid of the soap residue. I don't understand why a company would sabotage its product like this or what process for testing this new product led to it being released. Just awful.
This is not the same Lever 2000... I don't know what they did to this soap, but this is awful! It smells like some kind of cleaner product and burns my skin. I'd give a big fat ZERO if I could. Never again!
I have been using this soap for many, many years, and loved it. My most recent package labeled as "Original" scent did not have the same scent as before. It is no longer a fresh clean scent. It's more like a bad perfume/chemically scent. I was hoping I had a bad batch, but with all the other bad reviews I'm convinced it's the "new and improved" version. Why call it "Original" scent, when it's not original. Why change a good thing? I will now be looking for a new favorite soap. Very dissapointing:(
I DON'T like the new “Original” bar soap. I know, I know, every so often companies change up their products. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is a definite DOESN'T. Why you felt the need to make the new bar a bit shorter and thicker I don't know. But ok. Why you felt the need to put each bar in a box now vs plastic sleeve I don't know. But ok. So you've made these changes and you charge a bit more. I guess. But the fragrance??? You should have left it alone!! It STINKS now! My taste buds (not that I taste soap) and sense of smell are very sensitive and I can easily tell when a recipe has changed. Be it taste or smell, food or non-food. You definitely changed the fragrance along with the packaging and dimensions. I don't like the new smell at all. Again, it stinks. I don't think I can continue to use it, will probably throw out the new bars I bought and get a different brand. Wish you'd just left it alone.
