The Leviton Universal Wall Switch Occupancy Sensor Remote is used in conjunction with either of the two 1800W models in Leviton's line of Universal Wall Switch Occupancy Sensors (IPS15 or IPV15). This remote switch works with your other occupancy sensor to provide multi-location control over one light - perfect for stairways and long hallways. Provides 3-way control for LED, CFL, incandescent, fluorescent and motor loads Auto-Off upon vacancy saves energy and costs Coordinates with Leviton's popular line of Decora devices Fits in standard wallbox and replaces 3-way wall switch This remote switch offers the same great features as your original occupancy sensor, including Auto-Off and Manual On control. Your lights will turn on when the sensor's button is pushed, and as long as motion is detected in the area, the lights will stay on. When the room is left vacant and motion is no longer detected, the lights will automatically turn off according to your timer setting. Additionally, the convenient push-button provides manual off control at any time. The sensor covers up to 900 square feet (30 x 30) with a 180-degree field of view, ensuring adequate coverage for even the largest rooms. Modern, Elegant Appeal The Occupancy Sensor features an elegant style to complement any decor. Its low-profile design eliminates the "scanning device" look of typical sensors, offering homeowners a modern, yet decorative solution for lighting control. Each sensor comes with a white faceplate attached and two color change kits (Ivory and Light Almond) for seamless integration into any setting. Advanced Capabilities The sensor includes a time delay setting, which allows you to delay your lights/motor load from automatically switching off for 30 seconds, 5 minutes, 15 minutes or 30 minutes. For example, closet lighting would ideally be set to turn off after 30 seconds, while a bathroom fan may be set to turn off 15 minutes after the space is vacated. In addition to its built-in timer, the sensor features a segmented lens to provide optimum sensitivity and performance. It is designed with an extensive "minor motion" area where even slight body movements will be detected. To verify detection is active, an LED indicator light flashes when the sensor detects motion. Standard Installation This relay-based Occupancy Sensor fits in a standard wallbox. It can be used for 120V lighting, and is compatible with both electronic and magnetic ballasts or 1/2 HP loads. The relay switches at the zero crossing point of the AC power curve to ensure maximum contact life and compatibility with electronic ballasts.
