Excellent Display I bought the 24” LG UltraFine 4K display to replace the aging 23” ACD connected to my 2018 Mac Mini. Wow! What a gorgeous display. I run it at 2304X1296 with 32GB of memory in the Mini and the display is crisp with no noticeable lag. The 2304X1296 resolution seems perfect for this size monitor. The sweet spot for UI size and plenty of screen real estate. I tweaked a few preferences including Finder view options and everything is very readable even for my old eyes. Great color, very bright, speakers sound good, and all the ports on the back are nice. I'm a retired graphic designer who still does some design work. I find the display attractive and actually like the thin black bezel. I work in Affinity Design, Affinity Photo and MacOS Photos primarily and this monitor is perfect with those apps.
This is the second of this monitor which I am using on my desk with my MacBook Pro. This is a quality monitor with great resolution. The previous monitor worked grate for about 6 years but then the lower half of the screen developed horizontal lines. Not sutre ot the expected life but 6 years seemed reasonable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 24MD4KL-B is quite possible the best choice in a monitor for your Mac ( only exception being Apple's own $6k display). This 4K display is designed for your Mac and hooks up quickly and easily with the included Thunderbolt 3 cable. A cadre of USB-C ports lets you hook up all of your other legacy devices directly to the monitor and have a single Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect/power your MacBook Pro. Talk about plain and simple - It just works - no software drivers needed - plug it in and enjoy the stunning 4K display. To go mobile, just unplug the single Thunderbolt 3 cable. Exceptional price, clarity, brightness, and color quality are the hallmarks of this display. If you have limited physical space, but need the real estate of a high-end 4K display, then this is the monitor for you.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The monitor's image quality is excellent, which, given LG's reputation, was not a surprise. What was wonderful and fool proof was the ability to daisy chain my Arrow audio interface and Wacom graphics pad to my MacPro through the LG Thunderbolt and USB ports. Really terrific.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, of course, the monitor produces a pretty picture. I expect no less of LG. But, the plug and play daisy chain capacities was amazing.
It's an excellent monitor that's sharp and the perfect size for my workspace. I need a extremely sharp monitor for editing photos and occasionally videos and this one is perfect.
Great!!! I love it, colors are amazing and super saturated.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase this for my 2020 I-Pad Pro..my only computing device for a desktop setup. The LG 24MD4KL-B provides “future proof” USB-C outputs, with provided cables directly into the I-Pad which provides a supported dual monitor setup at 4K.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using this LG monitor with my MacBook Pro. The connection is very easy. I was a bit shocked at first since it has no buttons or anything but all feature can be controlled through the Mac. I still wish there is a on/off button and light adjustment and a camera. It's not covering a huge space on my small desk and easily move around. Love the height adjustment. Also love that it charges my Mac when connecting.
I bought this monitor approximately 1 month ago to use with my Mac Mini 2018 and it is the best monitor I have ever purchased. Amazing contrast, sharpness, and color fidelity. And the sound is not bad. I have only one caveat. It has not integrated 100% smoothly with my Mac Mini, an intermittent issue permitting use of Accessibility > Increase Contrast tool has required a software user account rebuild and so far Apple has not been able to isolate the cause other than help with the workaround. Also I cannot scale for 3840 (the true resolution of the monitor but only, for some reason, to 3008--however I use either the default or 2560 and this has not been a problem.)
