This is a perfect addition to your regular litter. Layer it on the top of your other litter and watch the rake go through your cats 'business' with very little sticking.
This is the only kitty litter i have found that works well with the littermaid self cleaning littler box. I have tried many others and they clump too much and make it hard for the rakes to do their job. Though this product is a little more expensive than the average kitty litter, if you want the littermaid box to work properly, this is the best product for it.
I absolutely LOVE this kitty litter and I wouldn't use anything else. It smells like corn...all the time. When my two kitties stink up the litter box quite a few times a day each and I can not smell urine AT ALL, that is an excellent product!! I am SO thankful for customer reviews that recommended this instead of any other litter. Well done Litter Maid!!
It does cost more but does it ever work! Great value. I used less and it lasted longer. We never could figure out what it has in it that makes it work so well. I have 2 of the newer Littermaids (different models) and 7 cats. Used it in one and our regular litter in the other. The cats did tend to use this more. By the end of the first day they were only using this litter. The next day we switched the litter in each litter box. They again went to this litter. No dust at all, no tracking and no oder. A very good product that does what it says it will do. It works! They got the market on this one. Worth every dollar. We tried a 50/50 mix to save on money. It worked well as a mix. The cats new the difference and went from one box to the other looking for the one with this litter. We had to go get 2 more bags and just fill both littermaids with it. Again, we still used less and it lasted longer! One has the Ionic Air and one does not. The Ionic Air still went on but the one that doesn't have it still had little or no smell. I even noticed a difference in the container. When it would open for the rake the one with this litter had less of a smell.
I love this product! It's quite pricey, but I've gotten so fed-up with other "hard clumping" litters for my LitterMaid box that I decided to pay the price and try it. It's fabulous! I've got two cats, both who love to throw litter everywhere. The larger grains are easier to spot on my dark carpet than the little ones that tend to bury into it. Also, I clean my litter box a lot less often. It being an automatic, I usually have to empty the catch box every week, but with other litters, I had to clean the rake every day. Since I began using this litter, I haven't had to clean the rake once. One downfall to the litter is that when the catch box needs to be emptied (i.e. it's too full and propped open), it smells. It doesn't have any perfume to keep down the smell, but it's fine as long as I don't let the box get too full. I've never been more satisfied with a litter and I will definitely pay the price to get it again and again. One bag with two cats has lasted over a month (that's longer than a 28lb. value box of other brands!!)! It's definitely worth it.
my personal opinion if i can find something else to use that won't mess up the gears of the litter box i have then i will be changing .i dont care for this litter at all its messy and it does not clump everything like it says ....to each his own is all i have to say to this
I don't understand why this product can't be site to store or carried in the stores. They sold the litter box and then you either have to travel somewhere else to get the litter or pay shipping on it. I love the product with the litter box and it works the best.
I first started using this product in April 2006 and it worked pretty well, but when summer came and the weather sarted getting hot the litter got real sticky and drew all kinds of bugs. I had a terrible mess! As I live in a rural setting I don't have a problem with roaches but I can only imagine what would happen in an urban setting. We had to clean our littermaid with a fine tooth comb, so to speak, then wash and spray the litter catching rug with alcohol to make sure all the larve were dead and scrub the whole room. I will never buy this product again!!!
I bought this to go with my Littermaid. This corn litter doesn't clump. It turns to mush when the cats urinate on it, then when the Littermaid scoops it, it is too wet to scoop so the used litter ends up in little balls spread throughout the remaining litter. Going to try the other recommended litter for this machine.
i have a new littermaid system, they reccommend that i use this brand to make my product last longer. This product does not do much, it does not clump very much and they say it is 99% dust free....... it has a lot of dust like about more than 50%.... please get yourself another premium litter and save your time and money.
