Product came earlier than anticipated, was easy to setup and was put to immediate use. The finish has a somewhat rubber feel, the ropes and chains are strong enough to support my oldest child so we anticipate the youngest will be able to use it for many years.
This is a great swing for older toddlers if they are too big for the baby swings but to young for a regular seated swing this is a good option. Plus it's neat easy to clean and fits right under my deck.
I bought this for my two year old grandson. It's a little big for him but he quickly learned how to hold on and balance with putting his feet across to the other side. It will be great as he gets bigger because it can grow with him. I really like that it cannot fill up with water.
I got this for our son (4 years old) to have at home because it's his favorite toy at his daycare. It is lightweight and fits on his 2 Swing swing set nicely. Our son loves it and he spends more time swinging on it the tire swing than the slide or regular seated swing. Highly recommend this product.
We just got this for our kids about a two weeks ago. They love it! They are 6 & 3 and have so much fun playing in it together.
Fun swing , best for 2 kids , evens out weight
I purchased this swing for my 2 grandkids (3yrs old) expected visit over the holidays. They absolutely loved it as did the parents! It is well made. Their father, 6'2" and 200 lbs actually sat on it after installation on a tree branch and it held well. Although it is designed for as much as 4 kids at a time, 2 is about the max if their legs are inside the 'tire'.
I ordered the tire swing for my 6yr old daughter. She loves it!! It was kind of tricky hanging it on a tree, but we finally figured out the safest way to do so. My 6yr year old can get on and off and hold on with my problem. That's not the case for our 3yr old. It's hard for her to balance and somewhat difficult for her to hold on. My 3yr old can still go on it, but with extreme caution and definitely with adult supervision!! That's why I'm saying it's great for kids over 5+. The only problem I have is that it took 2 weeks for the swing to arrive. I ordered it online and had it delivered to the store. Other than that, so far, so good.
Other reviews raved about how well it worked as a tree swing - not so much. Won't stay level; chains keep slipping. Not really what I'd hoped for.
I'd like to give this a better review since it's a Little Tykes product but want to be honest. We hung this from a big branch on a big maple tree. Couldnt get it to really 'swing' at all. It twisted around and that was about it. We added extra chain, put nails into branch to hold it from shifting on the branch but in the end, my 4 yr old grandson said we could take it back because it didnt swing! It probably works great on a swingset but it said it could hang from a tree but I disagree. Maybe if it had 2 kids on it all the time it would swing right. Sorry to say we took it back.
