My 18 month old niece learned quickly where the buttons were to change the song playing on the CD. She also dropped it at least 3 times while it was playing but it held true to it's "Anti Shock" advertisement. (Which was a selling point for me when I was deciding between CD players). The song never skipped, stopped playing nor did the door fly open. I was very pleased with this purchase. You can't beat the value for the price! PS. A major retailer sells this EXACT same player for 3 times the price of Walmart!
my 22 month old granddaughter likes using the microphone. she a little young yet oh which buttons to use, but she likes playing the music. the sound quality is very good.
Good sound, easy to use for the most part. The little microphone cords are too short, but my granddaughter just unhooks them and carries them around. Also, it would be nice if the cord to plug it into the wall was included, but the batteries seem to last for a good while. She loves playing her Frozen Cd on this and can carry it wherever she goes. She loves it and that makes it worthwhile to me.
My grand daughter loves to sing and dance. I took one look at the Little Virtuoso Sing-Along CD player and thought this would be the gift for her. She loves it!!! In fact it is one of her favorite Christmas gifts. The price at Walmart was by far the best. I ordered it in the pink color and couldn't be happier.
I bought this for my two year old grand daughter and she loves it. She sings and talks thru the microphone the minute she wakes up till night time. The cd music also plays great on it so she sings along with it. Thanks
It's a gift so it's not yet been put to the test by a three year old. I am impressed by its solid construction and attractive design. I expect she'll love it!
This was purchased for a birthday gift for a two year old.She loves it.We did read the reviews and did notice one that said couldn't adjust volume although they admitted that it had been dropped. Purchased anyway and volume is very loud.Still think it is worth the fun she is having with it.
I ordered this product as a present for my daughter's third birthday in early July. I took it outside the packaging and she immediately enjoyed the microphones. There is a bit of feedback from the micks, but she does not mind. Unfortunately, though she was unable to use the CD-player b/c it was broken. It took a week or so to replace with Walmart. Replacing defective products is not an easy and seamless progress. It is a bit of a headache. With the arrival of the new CD Player this week, we were able to enjoy music and sing along to tunes. The mic is a bit overpowering and drowns out the music audio. But my daughter is happy and does not mind. One last note about the player; it is heavy/bulking and cumbersome to walk around with. Which is okay b/c the cd skips a bit when bumped but does well as she is walking around.
Not only does the player come without any batteries, but when we bought them and installed them, the player does not work. The LED screen never lit up and the CD player does not play. This being a Christmastime gift, we threw away the packaging before we realized it didn't work. Walmart return policy requires the original packaging, so we are stuck with an inoperable CD player.
I was so excited to get this for my kiddos, as were they, but it ended up not playing cds right out of the box (after installing new batteries). The microphones were super fun and my girls just sang their hearts out without music using those, but every time we went to play a cd, it would skip horribly.....even when we left it alone on the table and weren't anywhere near it, and even when we had the anti skip turned on. We used different store-bought cds and they all skipped and had a hard time playing, so we took it back, unfortunately. Otherwise, I liked the features (Plug in area for buying a cord to plug into the wall, headphone jack, two microphones, easy/use buttons. Another thing I didn't like was the volume on just the microphone part was not affected by the overall volume button, so when the kids talked into the mic, it was super loud and not adjustable. But other than that, if it would have worked, we would have loved it.
