Three months ago I had a hair disaster trying to change from my go-to Nice and Easy natural light ash blonde (9A/102) to an 8A natural medium ash blonde. Worst mistake I ever made. My hair turned very dark and greenish. One of the problems is I did an interim color change to Nice and Easy 8 (natural medium blonde) which was not bad, but was not the look I was going for and it was a little orange at first. So I used Color Oops to get rid of the dark green overtones, then gave my hair a rest for three months. Finally decided to try again, this time switching to superior preference by L'Oreal 8 1/2A champagne blonde. I couldn't be happier. The L'Oreal product smells really good and the conditioner really helped keep soft silky texture rather than drying out my hair . And I love the new color!
I've bought this and Feria many times. I like both products, as all hair color, if you never stray from your hair type, results are pretty good. I need warm gold tones. My real love is the conditioner. I want to buy the preference conditioner with camellia oil. Is it available?
My hair was super bleached and had a lot of yellow, I thought this would be a good toner. You followed directions exactly except for the time. When i checked it at 10 minutes it looked dark reddish brown. I panicked and washed it out then instead of waiting the full 25 minutes. It still looked very dark brown and grey while wet. I blow dried and styled, oh my gosh!!!it looks so beautiful! All the yellow is gone and its a beautiful beigy white blonde, it looks very expensive! I will add my hair pulls yellow and orange tones when bleached. I definitely wish i had bleached the back as much as the front was to a light yellow, because I'm obsessed with the color in the front! But everything blended nicely and looks great. Also as forgiving as this dye is over a not great dye Job i feel like if you had bleach spots, or quite a bit of orange you would not like the end results. Definitely bleach your hair to make pale yellow before you do this( leaving about 14 days and deep conditioning in between not to damage your hair) Also strand tests are your friend, if your hair gets super stretchy like a rubber band or looks like it is curling up tightly it is probably melting. Wash immediately and put deep conditioner all over. Do not even think about bleaching again without seeing a professional.Thank you Loreal i will be using this color a long time, I absolutely love it!!!
I was expecting a little darker but my hair does have some gray which after 30 minutes product ul63 covered well, I just look like I have blonde highlights mixed in. the smell was atrocious. I usually use excellence which doesn't smell. This product was much thinner than I was used to but It was ok with shoulder length hair. Make sure you are in a well ventilated bathroom. After rinsing though, smell seems to be gone. My hair is very soft with only a small amount of the conditioner used.
Since I was looking all over the internet for real life views of this color before I used it, I wanted to put my review on the site. I normally use ultra natural blonde 10NB. I pull a lot of brassy blonde through and thought I would give this a try. It softened up the color. I like most of it but it didn't pull some gray color on the sides.
Bought light ash brown 6.1 to counteract my light auburn brown hair which had some light gingery red in it and is naturally dark ash blonde. It turned out a medium/dark reddish brown! The ash should have toned out the red but didn't. Plus darkened my hair 2-3 shades so color wasn't quite like pic on box or a true light ash brown. I understand hair dye results depend on previous color and condition but this was so wrong! And had to use a hair mask to stop it feeling like straw even though my hair was well conditioned. Will stick to anothe brand next time
I have been using Loreal for as long as I remember. started coloring around 16, now 48. something is different now. I can not get my color right. even tried different shades to see if it helped, nope. my normal color has always been LB02 Extra Light Natural Blonde. all the sudden a couple years ago it started coming out redder, and not lasting 3 weeks. it takes 2-3 boxes to do my hair its past my waste. will try it one more time then I am giving up.
I'm beyond upset. Beyond. My beautiful red shade I finally reached out is gone thanks to this product. I hate L'oreal forever. My hair was just washed out a bit since I had not colored my hair for 4 weeks and had no free time to go to the hair salon. I went to buy this shade that looked closer to the red I like, applied it and 25 minutes after my hair is black.
This RUINED my hair! I had bleach blonde hair. The box said "Champaign Blonde" and showes a lighter blonde. Side of box showes light color.. But it turned my hair DARK ! I'm crying ! I checked everything and it's all labeled the way it should be. I'm so upset
The color spreads easily and develops quickly but I can't find a decent color anymore. 8G or 9G are too warm 8N or 9N are very dull and blah and 8 1/2A and 9A are too drab and ashy. When will L'Oreal do another Beige Blonde? 9 1/2 BB was my favorite shade.
