Just as advertised, just as needed. Sturdy. Older model had a dark top, I prefer this semi clear top. Arrived quickly. Would rather have picked up at my local Walmart, to save on a big cardboard box, but pickup was, oddly, not an option.
This tote is perfect for lightweight, portable file storage. There is a rim inside so that the files actually hang, and are not just sitting on the bottom. It is very sturdy, and I was able to fit all of my files into it and still carry it around. Very pleased. So glad I went this route and didn't buy a cardboard file.
I got 3 of these boxes to use for organizing my kids' school papers that we want to save. They are a great size, and there is plenty of room for all the things we want to keep from pre k through graduation. They can be used for either letter or legal size folders. When we bought them, walmart had the best price too! Great product at a great price!
Solves organization problem...each box filed by subject saves time and trouble of searching through a bulky file cabinet. Boxes are strong, light and well made. Enables our non-profit to make use of furniture that would otherwise not be file friendly...
Easy to handle, stack and label. This product is durable and long lasting.
I agree with other reviewers--lids don't fit tightly (esp when I compare to my "vintage" Office Depot/Staples boxes from earlier to middle of last decade). However, I haven't found any better boxes. Lids have minor surface (cosmetic) scratches, probably due to really dumb packaging. Each file in a way-too-big box with absolutely no packaging. Just dumb--probably accounts for others reporting damaged files or lids. But, I probably will keep, since it's getting to hard to lift my bigger plastic boxes onto high shelves. These are a little stronger than Iris-made file boxes. I do like that I have 90 days from receipt to return, and I can return to the store. I guess I'll have to save all of the gynormous boxes (I'll fold down to store, until I make up my keep/return mind). But I'm not sure I'll find a better option. I miss the old Rubbermaid 4.1 gal snap (attached ) lidded boxes too. They would fit nicely on top of the file boxes.
Like other reviewers, my box came broken from the side. I returned it, but do not want to spend the 5.99 shipping to reorder it. Unfortunate that it's not in store because it's such a hassle to receive it and do not want to pay for shipping for a damaged item.
I am so surprised by all of the good reviews. I bought two of these to store files in the basement, the lid is completely loose and poor fitting, it is not even close to being something that will stay on. I will keep it because its too much work to send back.
Thin plastic, I ordered 4 boxes. One of them came with edge broken. Didn't have time or energy to return and get replacement since they don't stock it in store.
Ordered from Walmart who ordered it from another company who ordered it shipped direct from Amazon. It arrived shattered. It has been two weeks and I'm still waiting for the refund.
