Had Been looking for a 100% peanut oil to fry the turkey for thanksgiving, with only a week before thanksgiving went to Ultra foods around my house to find that they had a peanut soy bean mix, so I went home got on the computer and did a Bing search and it took me to Walmart And I was able to purchase the Lou Ana Pure Peanut oil, and had it Shipped to the Walmart nearest me just in time for thanksgiving, and the turkey was great, the family loved it.
I was worried that the 3 gallons wasn't going to be enough to fry my turkey, but it was exactly the correct amount. I'm very pleased that this container was offered as I always had extra from the 45lb package.
LouAna is a brand that has been around for a bit. Peanut oil, to me, yields the best results in turkey frying because of the high smoking point, it doesn't break down so quickly, and it has a mild flavor that does not battle with the taste of your food. Besides, I find that it gives a nicer browning to the bird. We have used lower priced oils like corn or canola or soybean or a combination of any of the 3 - and the results were ok but they didn't give us the same results as when we use pure peanut oil. Honestly this price is not much of a savings from what we usually pay locally at Costco or BJs but we are not near a Walmart so with all the other things I purchased, it made sense to buy it here online.
THIS OIL IS HIGH QUALITY. RIGHT OFF THE BAT I CAN TASTE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY FOOD, I USE TO USE CANOLA OIL BUT NOW I AM HOOKED. I WILL BE PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT OFTEN SO KEEP IT IN STOCK WALMART .COM. ITS REALLY GOOD AND MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE TASTE OF YOUR FOOD. THANKS LOU ANNA PEANUT OIL AND WALMART . COM TOO!!! Excellent product. Arrived almost immediately & price is the best! I fried my first turkey using this & it was amazing. Taste is sensational. I was able to refill the container with the used oil & can hopefully use this many more times for delicious flavor & excellent frying quality! I highly recommend this product for any type of deep frying. It doesn't get any better than this!
It was great for frying our turkey and we were able use it for frying chicken tenders. The taste of the chicken tenders seemed to be different with the peanut oil, in a good way. More crispy, golden brown. We're going to try again
I spent 50 dollars and i didn't realize i didn't have my oil till now !!
I placed an order for a 3 gallon case of peanut oil at 8:48am. Was advised by the Walmart app that my order would arrive within 3½hours. My order arrived at 6:50pm. I will never make the mistake of purchasing via Walmart app again. If you're expecting a quick delivery, then do not purchase from the Walmart app.
Be aware that this is refined peanut oil so this is equal to any other cheaper oils like vegetable oil/canola oil. Due to refined oxidation process all good things in the oil has been removed. Original/raw peanut oil will be thick and contains many nutrients but this is thin, clear oil and doesn't smell like Peanuts oil. Will not buy again.
Why is Walmart listing a product they do not have?? It is not in the stores and when I ordered it online I got the following email the next day “ We're sorry, all the items you ordered are out of stock so we had to cancel your order.” Walmart please remove this sku from your inventory!!
