[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My latest product to review is the Sunflower Kernels by Lyric Wild Bird Food. I received a 5 pound bag of kernels to write my review. Lyric Wild Bird Food is a top brand of bird food available in my opinion. The kernels are 100% edible for birds. Since there are no shells for the birds to crack open, there are no shells laying below the bird feeders. All food with no waste! The kernels attract many varieties of birds including chickadees, nuthatches, cardinals, woodpeckers and so many more. It will provide the nutrients for wild birds all year long for sustainable energy.

This isn't a mixture; it's just sunflower kernels, but it appeals to a wide variety of birds, and sunflower seeds are packed with the nutrition and energy they need. I love that this is just the kernels and no shells. That means there's virtually no mess on the ground underneath my feeder because the birds actually eat any of the seed that falls to the ground. They get more energy for their effort this way, too, as they don't have to spend time pulling the seed out of the shell. There wasn't a lot of dust or broken bits in this bag, either--just five pounds of sunflower kernels! This product is definitely more expensive than other five-pound bird seed options, but the quality is undeniably better, MUCH better. I can't afford to make it my usual bird seed, but I will definitely give it to our backyard birds when I can, especially ahead of a heavy snow or ice storm. Great stuff!

Can be mix with other seeds or alone. It is great choice for any bird enthusiasts or as a novice who just loves birds.

And when I mix some into the food for the wild turkeys on the ground, the squirrels and the deer join the party. So thankful I found this seed for my guests !

I feel that birds are very beautiful and should be treated special. I can't wait to see how many different types of birds that will appear in my backyard. I have the 5 lb bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Birds seem to love this food!! I filled up my big feeder and they ate all of in a week! I wasn't able to get a picture of it after I hung up the feeder. I had a few different bird species visiting the feeder! When I opened the bag, I was hit by the yummy smell and figured it'd be a hit with the birds! Definitely recommend this bird food! The feeder I got is for different bird food types online and it really works well with this food! It's a 2 -n - 1 feed tube that holds 1.8lbs of seed! Since I didn't get a picture of this seed in the feeder, I'm adding one of the other seed in it
I use the shelled sunflower seeds for my smaller bird feeder. It makes the food go longer and it's easy for them to eat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who doesn't love watching the birds at the bird feeder! We have several types of birds here in Central Florida. These bags are very easy to handle. This seed seems to attract the birds. From Bluejay, Cardinals, Doves, Finches, to Red headed woodpeckers! They get their fill and then they are off. I have to fill the seed a couple of times a week so I can keep up with all the different birds. They love this seed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I was disappointed, when I filled my feeder with these kernels, all of the birds left for a few days. That's never happened before. Then a couple came around, then a couple more. It took a few weeks for the birds to finally empty the feeder me in the time I noticed a lot of doves had moved on, as well as the Blue Jays. But we were happy to see the Cardinals stayed. We noticed the smaller birds were the ones enjoying the sunflower kernels. Even had a parakeet stop by for a snack one day. So while I was disappointed and thought the birds didn't like the new seed, it worked out in the end because it attracted more of the smaller birds and deterred the much larger doves that have been taking over my feeder. Miss the Blue Jays though.
