These frames are great! Opening size is 22x26 but the frame's actual dimensions are 22x28. They use Plexi glass isntead of actual glass, which I like since they won't easily break. The frame is a nice semigloss black. It doesn't have a traditional saw-tooth hook but two triangle hangers on all 4 sides for horizontal and vertical hanging. Let's see how they hold up! Will definitely buy again.
I used this frame to put a puzzle in. It looks nice on my wall.
I was really surprised at how beautiful these frames look on my walls. I would highly recommend this product.
After giving up on the expensiveness trying to find frames at Michaels, and Hobby Lobby for my jigsaw puzzles I just happened to notice 20 x 26 frames at Wal Mart and to my amazement were floating frames made for mounting puzzles. I purchased all three they had in stock. I needed four more. I checked at three other WalMarts but found none. I resorted to finding them online with Walmart, and ordered them for pickup at the store. This is the way to go from now on. I am going to order two more for store pickup. I highly recommend this process. You can also have them delivered to your home.
While some reviewers reported scratched/damaged frames, I had no such issues. The frames were double packaged (box with bubble wrap, packaged inside a larger box with bubble wrap); the employee at the pick-up counter even let me leave behind the larger box at the store and just take the inner box. I didn't find the description entirely clear with regards to a sturdy front and back panel, but because it supposedly works with puzzles, I took my chances. There is indeed a clear plexiglass front and back panel to hold the puzzle in place without needing to first glue the puzzle. The extra thickness of the puzzle means that you have to loosen the screws on the back tabs of the frame to clip and secure it, but it's simple enough and you only need a small phillips head screwdriver to do so. The advertised size (20" x 26") was completely accurate and my puzzle, which I physically measured prior to ordering the frame (most puzzles don't exactly match the size printed on the box; mine was off by ~1/4" - 3/4", so always measure before ordering frames), fit perfectly with essentially no wiggle room. The 20" x 26" measurement is, in fact, the size of the picture it holds, not the perimeter dimensions. This is what I had assumed, but you never know for sure when shopping online. I was also expecting it to look kind of cheap since it was the cheapest frame I could find with those dimensions, but it actually looks really good. It's a sturdy frame that won't fall apart or shift/distort like the cheap poster frames. It would be nice if I could have purchased a single frame for a lower price instead of buying two, but I'm sure for a frame this large, shipping and packaging costs are more economical for the supplier when sold in a set. It was still cheaper than buying a single frame elsewhere.
My husbands poster is 18 x 24 so we ordered these frames wanting a little extra open space on all sides rather than having the poster all the way to the edge of the frame. When I first opened the frames and started taking them apart, I thought these weren't worth the money we paid for them. On the back of the frame there's a smaller frame that fits inside the actual frame to help keep the poster in tight and where it's supposed to be, the little frame was pretty flimsy. And I had to unscrew all of the little tabs on the back of the frame to get the front and back side apart because they were too tight to move, and then I just screwed them back in to my comfort level of tightness. After getting my husbands poster situated in the frame and on the wall it looks very nice, I think frames will hold up just fine despite my thought of them being flimsy. I'll probably purchase these again in the future.
I only needed one frame, so having to buy two was not ideal. The quality isn't fabulous, but it looks nice enough on the wall.
I like the product alot - Walmart went on backorder with some of my order so I haven't gotten it all. This is a 2 pack - Michaels has a similar product in a one pack.
This was the only frame that we could find for a special poster--20" x 26". We only needed one frame but they were sold as a set of two. Otherwise, we were quite pleased with the frame.
The frame says that it will be a "floating" frame for 20" x 26" photos (and the can take up to a 22.5" x 28" frame for a "full frame", but that is inaccurate. The full frame is actually 20"x26" - the piece of paper shown in the display "floating" is actually 17" x 23". I have a whole wall of photos in floating frames, so I wanted these to match. After spending over $115 on 4 enlargements - I was VERY disappointed that I had to cut them down to give the "floating" effect.
