This was the cheapest rug pad I could find by far (for the 9 x 12 ft size). Other ones were as much as $30 more. Is a standard rug pad that works great; holds the rug in place on my wood floor and protects the wood from getting scratched. My only complaint is that the pad smelled of plastic quite strongly when I got it out, but once the rug was on top I didn't notice it (I'm sure once it's aired out it goes away).
This is a great product! I'd ahve to move my coffee table to have the room to play the Wii, but then our carpet kept slipping around on my hardwood flooring. This product is amazing, I just cut it to the size I needed and the carper hasn't moved at all!
The rug saver is exactly what I needed for my parents house. We use our Rug Savers on hard wood, linoleum, and laminate floors. The Rug Saver serves as a gripper for our area rugs as well as providing a bit of cushioning. The Rug Saver is extremely easy to cut and/or trim. I used the excess on a small rug in the bathroom. It worked so well that I purchased another sized Rug Saver at my local Walmart.
I ordered this non-slip rug pad because of the price, and it has turned out to be a great value! It is of similar quality to much more expensive pads, and does a great job of keeping my rug from slipping. I would definitely purchase this pad again.
Great product. Rug has not slipped or moved at all on hardwood floors - even with my kids dancing, running and jumping on it. Rug is more comfortable to sit on too.
We have 2 runners in our hallways that kept getting all bunched up thanks to our crazy cats running all over them. We bought the 5x8 rug pad & cut it in half to fit under the 2 runners and it has definitely done the trick to keep the runners in place (even when vacuuming). I saw in a previous review that somebody mentioned using tape to adhere the pad to the carpet... great idea.. I'll definitely try that.
This is a heavy duty rug liner. Out of the same material as some table place mats but sturdier material. It will not move once you place it, so you must get someone to help place an area rug on it.
Bought this for an area rug in the hallway to keep it from slipping around on the carpet, and this product definately does the trick. However, since there is no "glue" to attached it to the back of the rug, I would recommend buying some two sided tape (such as painters tape) to hold it in place.
When I first opened the package, the odor was pretty bad. I thought that I might have to return it, but once placed under the rug, I didn't smell it anymore. Maybe it just had to "air out" a bit. I put it under an area rug under a coffee table, so I really don't know if it is stopping the rug from moving, since the table is a heavy one. It certainly was very easy to cut to fit.
This was a total waste of money for us ..the rug we bought it for is to thin and all the pad does is buch up under it , if you have a very heavy rug i would say it would work better we ended up cutting it in smaller sizes to use under our heavier more expensive rugs , i wish i could have returned it !
