The Mainstays 11x14 Float to 8x10 Gold Finish Picture Frame is simplistic in design but very eloquent. It is made well and contains real glass. Use caution when removing the back layer of glass to insert your photo. Mine was stuck so I placed it on top of a towel and shook it slightly until the back glass came out (handle with care)! Floating an 8x10 inside the frame gives it a nice "gallery" look. There are sawtooth hangers on the back giving the option to hang it vertical or horizontal. There are plenty of clasps on the back to hold the outside frame and glass in place. For the quality and low price point I definitely recommend purchasing this frame!
Bought for Valentine's prints from Amazon, added the prints infront of the glass and will continue to use for other holidays and store the prints inside the frame. Eventually take the glass out and add cardboard or similar material in thickness to keep prints in place.
The 5x7 gold Mainstays frame is a very nice frame. You can tell when you hold it that it is not a cheap frame that will fall apart. Although the frame is advertised as a 5x7 frame, you can also use it to frame a larger picture up to the 8x10 size. The frame does not have a mat as it is fully glass, thus why it is called a float frame. I really like this frame as it came with hangers both for vertical and horizontal hanging. It is very easy to place your photo in the frame with the little tabs on the back that slide enabling you to remove one sheet of glass and place your picture in between the sheets. I especially like the quality gold finish--I am using this frame to display a picture of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. You won't be disappointed in this frame!
This is a GREAT frame for any occasion. It's a quality frame with a elegant look. The frame is easy to open, sits at just the write angle when on a shelf and has a bueatiful, slightly shinny sheen. The matt on the inside is removable allowing the frame to be versitile. I'd recommend this frame to anyone that is looking for simple, elegant and quality.
Pretty good deal for the price. They were well packaged, and everything was in great shape when they arrived. I ordered two sets actually, because these were a great deal. One thing to note is that I almost sent them back because the hook in the back was off center on all of them. Fortunately, they are adjustable, so you can slide them to where you need them.
This Mainstays 11x14 Float to 8x10 gold wall float picture frame is cute and stylish! It is nice to put family portraits in or your favorite artwork to add a touch of glam around your home! It was a little confusing to assemble as there are no instructions and the back glass was difficult to get out. I had to gently shake the frame to loosen it. Putting the photo in the frame and reassembling it was easy. Overall easy to use and it looks great.
Ok, so this frame is SUPER neat. Apparently there's 2 pieces of glass in it and, though it was a bit of a struggle(as I was afraid I'd break it if I weren't gentle enough!), I managed to separate them and put this cut pumpkin I hand made in it. It helps keep all the edges flat and even, and it's really easy to put back together. I was really surprised at how many parts there were to this frame! Not so many that it's overwhelming, but around 4 or so between the locking mechanisms, the frame space holder thing, and then the extra pane of glass in it. Super neat! The color is very nice too.
I purchased a few boxes of these frames, and they work well as an inexpensive option for framing prints. While they are not as beautiful as an expensive solid wood handmade frame, they do still look really nice. I also appreciated that the stickers on the back peeled off easily without leaving a messy residue or ripping the backing. Concerned about the glass in the frame getting broken during transport, I was nervous about having these shipped to my home, but all of the frames arrived unbroken. (Each frame was in a plastic bubble-wrap sleeve.)
The frame looks nice. The joints and hardware are well assembled. But I'm not sure if I would buy another float frame again in the future. This requires a double-sided tape to hold the picture in place. If you use a wrong tape, you may damage the picture you cherish. This frame actually came with two double-sided tape taps, but there is no sign/label that allows me to determine if they are physically & chemically safe to use oh photos & pictures .
Wow - ok so these frames are great! Order them often - my most recent order I received they weren't wrapped. One was BROKEN and the rest of them were completely scratched up. Really disappointed- I use these to frame my art that I sell and now I have to take them all back because of the damage.
