This teakettle was not too expensive and looks great. It also seems to heat up a little faster than other enameled teakettles I've had in the past. The only downside was that I couldn't go to the store to but it, though the free shipping to the store was nice.
I had been looking to replace my broken tea kettle and wanted something a little different. This one fit the bill. It's heavy guage metal so it seems pretty sturdy.
I use this daily and although the tag inside says to wipe out to avoid spots or rust, I treat it like my stainless steel sink. I have had it for over a year and it has not rusted. I love the whistling feature. It looks nice on the top of the stove too.
I love my new teakettle! Attractive style, easy to clean, pours well, and the whistle works nicely. The whistle isn't very loud, but that's the way I like it. I highly recommend. I had spent 4 days reading reviews and shopping for a teakettle. This was by far the best value for the money.
have been remodeling the kitchen and have been looking for the right kettle for my glass top stove. saw this and thought it would lokk ok. but when i got it home and put it on the stove it just made the stove pop. i love it
I love this tea pot. I use it several times a day. I read a review that the handle gets hot. Not so with my tea pot. Maybe it was left on the burner way to long. Also if I am upstairs I can hear it whistle when ready. So far my husband has not manage to burn this one up as he has done with other tea pots.
The tea kettle is very pretty and durable. It cleans nicely. The whistle to notify you that the water is hot can't be heard well unless you have your burner all the way up. The handle gets hot and you have to use an oven mitt to hold the handle. I have tried grabbing the upper handle(not grapping the whole apparatus) and it was still very warm to the touch. Be careful.
This product does just what it's supposed to do, make water hot and whistles. For the price it's great. Be careful the handle will get hot so use a potholder.
I returned this product because the tag inside (after I opened the package at home) said that you must empty and wipe dry the inside of the teapot after use or it will rust! That is too high maintenance for me! I tend to always leave a bit of water in my teapot. Also, it says that you must use a potholder on the handle.
While the kettle is quite attractive, it has three faults. They are: (1) The handle is not insulated. One must use an "Ove Glove", or similar mitten, to pick up the kettle after heating water. (2) One must again use an "Ove Glove" to open the spout so that the heated water can be poured. (3) The whistle is not very loud when compared to other kettles.
